Complete Trilogy Edits (Released)

I like the edit, though I would have left Hoth and Jabba(RotJ) in. Also, the music and cut could have been better, fading in and out and wipes. Also, leaving the PT with the episode 1 crawl and then having the Star wars crawl for the OT, not realy a good idea, you kinda go: wait where were 2 and 3? maybe just the flying logo and then pan down would have worked better. Over all I like the edit, it allows me to watch the saga in an afternoon.

PS, when burning you need to get rid of that first folder, just have the Video and Audio folders.

I'm glad you liked my edits. You really hit on one of my goals of these edits, which was to be able to watch the major events of the entire saga in a shorter amount of time. I did originally want to leave a shortened Hoth segment in, but in order to get each trilogy down to about the equivilent of the length of a single movie, I had to make a lot of tough choices. Sorry about all of the crc errors, guys. This was my first attempt at DVD authoring, so you can probably chalk that up to my lack of expirience. That also covers the music and scene transitions, too. As for the opening crawls, initially I wanted to edit the whole saga onto a single disc and only use the opening crawl from episode I, which would have made a little more sense. So for now, you just kind of have to ignore the numbering. I'll try your suggestion on burning, and see if that makes any improvement. I hope everybody was able to get their copies to work in some way though.

LOTR: Return of the Hobbit - my fan edit (Released)
Time

After I finished my Star Wars Complete Trilogy edits as discussed over here, I decided to do a similar project for the LOTR trilogy. In this fan edit, I decided to focus mainly on Sam and Frodo’s journey from the Shire to Mordor. It came out pretty cool, so I thought that I would offer it up as well for anybody that would like to see it. I haven’t perfected my editing yet, so some of the scene transitions are a little glitchy, but it’s still pretty enjoyable to watch. If anybody is interested in seeing it, PM me your address and I’ll try to help you out.

Sorry about the problems a couple of you guys are having with your DVDs. After I burned them, I tested them on my DVD player, and they worked. On my computer, I had trouble working with Windows Media Player and Real Player, but it worked fine with another player called InterVideo, so you may have to play around with a couple of programs to find one that will play it. Unfotunately, segaflip, I don't have a DL version at this time.

I think so. Especially the PT edit. The increase in pacing of the major events really increases the excitement level and makes the PT a lot more powerful. Send me a PM and I'll send you a copy. I already have 1 persons copy in the mail and more will be going in the mail tonight.

Complete Trilogy Edits (Released)
Time

I have just completed editing the entire Saga.

What I have done is edited each trilogy into a single movie. I first got this idea when I heard of a play called “Star Wars in 30 minutes”. I thought it would be cool to edit the Original Trilogy down in order to be able to watch it in 30 minutes. That really wasn’t possible, but I was able to get it under 3 hours.

Now that all 6 movies are out, I was able to complete my edit of the Saga by editing the Prequel Trilogy down to under 3 hours also. Another inspiration for my fan edit is the fact that the Saga is really 1 movie with 6 parts. I think that my edits really reflect that. I have taken each trilogy and trimmed down a lot of the side plots, battles, and minor conflicts.

What is left is an edit of the Prequel Trilogy that really focuses on Anakin from his discovery to his rise as a Jedi, and then ultimately his turn to the darkside.

The edit of the Original Trilogy is similar as it mainly focuses on Luke becoming a Jedi and then the redemption of his father. Both edits are enjoyable to watch, and if anybody is interested in seeing these edits,

I may be able to help them out, if they PM me their address.

If I get a lot of requests, I may not be able to fill everybody’s request, but maybe some other people can pass it forward or torrent it.

Also, I don’t spend a lot of time online, so I may not be able to respond back right away.
