The scenes where nobody is talking. Strangely enough, I'm able to enjoy the prequel trilogy better than the SEs.

"If you will not turn to the Dark Side, then perhaps she will..."
"Never!"
Lukes ignites his lighsaber and begins swinging it over his head, he then leaps above Vader, who swings his lightsaber. Luke lands, tries to hit Vader in the legs, but Vader jumps, and swings the saber behind his back. Luke leaps above Vader, who leaps backwards. Both sabers clash, emitting sparks. Luke pushes Vader back with the Force, sending him flying several feet away. Vader lands safely.
Palpatine goes "Yeah!".
so Luke leaps over there. He swings his saber as Vader just stands there and cuts his hand.
"Gooood, good, your hate has made you powerful..."
"My anger rather than my hate"
"You don't need any anger Luke, I see you're becoming the greatest sith of all"
"Never"
I'm impressed with the changes. Especially with your take on the Mace vs. Palpatine duel, as you're the first to have succesfully removed the other Jedi from that scene. I believe more can be achieved though. Losing "UNLIMITED POWER!!!" might be for the best, perhaps adding something more in line with Palpatine taunting Luke as he fries him.
"Use my knowledge" is a small but significant change. I believe Palpatine's voice could ring inside Anakin for a little longer. For instance the scene where Anakin kills the younglings kids in the temple could be augmented by adding "Do not hesitate, and show no mercy" as Anakin ignites his lightsaber.
Badass doesn't imply quality. One could argue that 300 is badass, but that film is bad on so many levels, Leonidas' famous line can't save if from being awful.

The Magic Lizard also sodomizes a buffalo later in the film...
I'm not one that hates the pretrilogy, but TPM is the one I watch the least often. It's only halfway through the next film that I start to get the "Star Warsy" feeling. But that's just me, I know some fans consider this is the closest PT got to the OT.
Speaking of which, how is it that the SE of ANH never got Jabba to look like in this film? I'm sure it may have something to do with George mistreating the OT, but it does make you wonder. 1997 and 1999 weren't that far away, and the SE tested SFX techniques later applied to the PT.
I like Bingo's plot, but regarding the "real" Vader, why would Anakin take his name? Also, such scenario risks diminishing the reveal's impact because some could assume Vader is the one who lies. But then things on the screen take different results than on paper, so I can't say for sure.
Oh, so it's more of a "what could have been" than a "what can be done". Of course, there are many scenarios and events that would have made the prequels "not prequels".
People could always choose to watch the OT only. Sad as it may seem, there is no way to go I to VI with the twists and turns intact.
Ric Olie is in Alien ³, perhaps some of his lines can be put to good use.
I had never seen that shot with such a strong sky, it's beautiful.
I always took it for granted actually. The only line that sticks out for is "Not if anything to say about it, I have!", which sounds too forced.
I know this one's rather meaningless (and nitpicky) but have you considered putting back the mountain that was removed from in the Binary Sunset?
Regarding the deleted scenes, is there a word on their quality/resolution? Sorry if this has been answered but I'm not going to read 89 pages of "the colors will be fixed!" to get find out.

The German DVD of Crocodile (1981) has superior quality to the R1 one and is in the correct apect ratio:

Also the Japanese VHS from that film (rarity) has apparently an entirely different cut of the movie.
What about having a character being dubbed by Lucas himself?
He does care about storytelling. He's just a sloppy writer. The ideal Star Wars film can still be directed by him, but with somebody polishing the scripts, as it happened with ANH.

What if instead of Syfo-Dias (?) the cloners of Kamino told Obi-Wan that Qui-Gon had ordered the army? To the Jedi Council sense this would make since Qui-Gon often defied them and was more a rebellious Jedi.
I have brought this up in the past but it never went anywhere.
Can't this be said about most ideas in the thread? There have been numerous creative possibilities but nobody yet has set out to make a fan edit out of them.

Anybody else likes this show. With the 1953 film being one my favorite Sci-fi films overall, I was thrilled to see a series made decades later and still being so close in spirit. It was a great combination of lovable cast members and '80s horror. What somewhat kills it for me is the lost potential. The first season had so many interesting subplots and characters going for, most of which were discarded in the second one.
Anyhow as far as the whole War of the Worlds "saga" goes I'd rank just below the 1953 film and far above all 3 2005 films (though I do enjoy Spielberg's reimagining from time to time).
That industrial part of Coruscant where Dookie flies at the end of Attack of the Clones, it's never seen or mentioned again in the series. Palpatine and Maul could have their conversation in that zone.

Ric Olie's dialogue never really bothered me. It's just as obvious as "The Eagles are coming!" or "It's... it's a dinosaur!".
An exclamation is very natural. Especially if the purpose of the exclamation is to inform troops in contact that close air support is approaching. Purely expository dialogue is somewhat less natural. It is true that the ugly, no-name, never-seen-again pilot was talking to a child, but it wasn't natural. A real person might say something like, "Listen, kid. That shuttle belongs to Chancellor Valorum. He's pretty important. In fact, he runs the whole Republic. So don't say anything dumb or--you know, don't say anything at all. Okay?"
See? Natural. The adult is worried that the kid is going to embarrass him, he communicates to the audience who Valorum is, and he doesn't comment on anything really obvious like the urban build-up on Coruscant. We get a peek at what's going on inside balding pilot's head, and it sets the audience up to think that the precocious child is going to do something above his station. Describing what everyone could plainly see was didn't serve the audience or reflect very well on the oily pilot.
Also, if Anakin didn't say anything at all from that point forward, the trilogy would be much better.
"The entire planet is one big city" I don't quite see as an obvious, it's more like he's contrasting it to the desertic Tatooine. A "Look how different our planet is from yours" only more polite. As for the Valorum bit, he did adress some information that was irrelevant to Anakin.
And for the record, Panaka is far more cute than Ric.
The idea of turning Geonosis into Tatooine seems a wise one, and I figured out that Jabba the Hutt should order the executions in Attack of the Clones rather than announcing Pod Race. He could very well be a separatist leader, the only to survive in fact, leaving Tatooine as the one of the only planets where the Empire has no authority.
Ric Olie's dialogue never really bothered me. It's just as obvious as "The Eagles are coming!" or "It's... it's a dinosaur!".
