First thing you’ve said all day that I’ve actually understood in it’s entirety. Everything else has had at least a section I couldn’t make out.

But does that mean we can say something negative about people, and they can’t say anything negative about what I said? Like I can say Darth_Ender probably didn’t eat his vegetables as a child, and he’s just powerless to stop me from saying so?

005 has made a fair point. Rules slightly amended.

The whole thing cost less than 700 dollars man, if you save long enough (or use your income taxes for it) you can do it so long as you have a suitable room for it.

(I have a generic knockoff projector, but it’s still 1080P so it still looks stellar. The only way I can tell it’s a knockoff is that it literally just uses the android program for it’s menu app to the point that it even thinks it’s a phone if you hit the “about” button, LOL. Also there are some software quirks with it, but none of this affects viewing experience, I just set it to HDMI and let it go. The small bugs were well worth knocking the 300 dollars off the price of the name brand projectors like Epsilon, especially considering I find it hard to believe they could possibly look much better as I see no flaws with how this looks)

No it’s software. Snes9x for windows. I have a desktop pc for most of my entertainment purposes. It’s hooked into the projector (which is mounted into the ceiling) with a massive hdmi cable that’s ran behind the walls and through the ceiling out of site, and the audio ran digitally through a cable thats been the seam in the wall and floor into the receiver. The pc itself is tucked into a corner under the arm of a couch somewhat out of sight exposed just enough to insert blu rays into the drive. There’s a wireless mouse and keyboard just kinda sitting loose about the room (to serve in the absence of tv/bluray player remotes)

I play my games with a wireless ps3 controller connected to the computer with a usb dongle. The best part about that is my friends can bring their wireless controllers and easily connect them to the same dongle and we can play mario kart or any other multiplayer game I have an emulator for.

(By the way I get my roms legally by extracting them from Nintendo’s official virtual console versions and run them on the emulator)

I don’t have one. a real snes, while infinitely cool, would look like shit on a screen this big. Emulators that generate the graphics at 1080p look much better. Makes it look like a modern game that was meant to look retro. I mean they are still simple like on the snes but high quality and clear with no pixelation due to it getting at a high resolution and graphic filters. Same with n64 except n64 is even better due to high res texture packs. If I hooked the real thing into it it’d be pixelated and blurry.

Somewhat ironically I’ve used it to play super Nintendo games more than anything else. With a nice upscaling emulator with 2XSai enabled even it looks pretty sweet though. Can’t wait to pay ocarina of time with a nice texture pack.

Although I did watch my own custom Star Wars on it and it was fantastic.

Ah. I know the feeling of retail frustrations. I am a manager at Wal-Mart (which is a much better career path than you might would think to anybody who feels like being judgmental about that. I’m 23 and have my own house and car and pay my own bills and have enough extra to have 8 guitars and a kick ass home theater setup with surround sound, a 125 inch screen and a 1080p projector)

Anyway I have much experience in retail and I can tell you the increase in business is likely due to many people receiving Starbucks gift cards for Christmas.

The rules for this thread will be quite simple.

1. (The most important rule) NO BITCHING ABOUT ORIGINALTRILOGY.COM. None of any sort. Think the mods aren’t impartial enough? People are being mean to you? Being falsely accused of saying things that you did in fact say? New rules aren’t being enforced hard enough or to your liking? Silverwook is being emotionally distant and won’t return your calls? (Is it something I did? I’ll change!) Guess who doesn’t care? The world. You have every other thread for that. Also no bitching that you think this OP is “mean” or “singles me out” because it doesnt. If you feel insulted about this post then change so that it doesn’t apply to you.
2. No sighing. This rule is less strict and may be allowed in some cases. No, the first post after the OP isn’t one of those cases. Warbler not included.

Bitching may be serious or silly in nature, as can responses to other people’s bitching. Have serious problems? Talk about them. Just need to blow off steam about something silly that’s frustrating? Go for it. Want to offer another member real support? That’s all you, bud. Think someone else is overreacting and needs to gain perspective and understand life is good? (In other words, tell them to stop being a crybaby) Go get 'em tiger.
3. No disintegrations.

Off-topic banter and side conversations about throwaway details brought up in other peoples posts about bitching are allowed within reason.

Positive thoughts are allowed, so long as they relate to something else that was brought up in this thread.

I’ll start things off light. A friend made me watch The Breakfast Club for the first time last night. I’d like to b*tch about the fact that Bender is obviously in his mid to late 20s even though he’s supposed to be in high school and is nothing like the robot I know and love. Also that it is called The Breakfast Club when they never eat breakfast. How inappropriate. If anything it should have been called the “Lunch in the Library club”.

Also, kid brings a gun to school and all he gets is Saturday detention? Wtf.

Is that just okay because you didn’t mention anybody specifically by name or am I missing something? Serious question. Hey, you came in and introduced yourself and expressed interest in joining the community instead of just registering to make demands that we provide things (invites, edits done to your liking, etc) to you like most new members do so that already puts you a step ahead.
