2004 OT DVD release continuity error?!
Time
Saw a new Star Wars 2005 calendar last night. It had the spirit shot from ROTJ on the cover of it. Guess who was on it?

Obi-Wan
Yoda

and....

Anakin... Sebastian Shaw "OLD Anakin."

When did the young Anakin in the surfacing photos become official? Don't think they are personally. Take it for what it's worth to ya. But why would they release this photo if they where going to change the shot?

Peace!

You might not believe Lucas said this...

Nothing earth shattering at all. I just pick up little things here and there from the official site. In 2007 we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars. GL said that he may compile a special box set DVD of the original three films (SE, or OT??? Who knows?) on the new format DVD (16 hours of info.) He mentioned blue screen work, special features, etc... Lots of other tiny inuendo's within articles as well.

Like I said, nothing mind blowing, or definitive... perhaps I should've said "Little instances from the official site that give us hope," rather than "Official hints." I didn't mean to sound like I found some secret info... I didn't. I just meant to say that I look at his press releases and quotes with a positive attitude, and sometimes come out with a bit of hope that he will release them eventually.

But I really think that these boards should be a little more pro-GL. I mean think about it; If everyone was trashing me because they wanted something from me, would I give it to them? Probably not. We need some positive insight here, patience, and a little hope.

Peace!

I sense much anger here...

But seriously, I understand your desire for the OT's, I myself want them as well, and have signed the pettition. However, it is only common sense that Lucas is releasing the SE around the time of the Prequels... they have to tie in with them and changes are required to polish them up, and make somethings work.

My argument here is that it seems as though people are more focused on ripping apart GL, and digging up any unreliable source that they can find to do so, rather then promoting the release of the OT. Lucas might already have plans for it... how do we know? He is notorious for keeping secrets. There have been many "official" hints to it in recent days. I personally believe that he will release them when the prequels have completed their rounds.

What lucas said many years ago is not in anyway pertantent to today. People change. We see things very differently as time goes on. Who cares "if" he said that however long ago. I said only 2 years ago that I would never get married... well, I'm getting married in January. Should I stick to what I said 2 years ago (I know that most will say YES! don't do it... haha!,) or should I be able to reflect on what I said and be able to change my decission and take all that I have learned since then and apply it. I saw marriage differently back then... I now recant my words.

It just sounds as thought you are arguing GL's "right" to change his films, rather than asking him to release his original work. You keep going back to: "We don't mind that he changed his films; we just want the OT as well." Well, throughout these boards it unfortunately reads like a GL bashing session on the changes he made to his films, and not an expression to GL to release the OT.

Bring on the OT! I'm all for it... and believe it will certainly happen.

I don't mean to rustle feathers or be a player hater; I just wanted to put a different view on the board.

Peace guys!
