Can anyone tell me if a telecine or something exists of these animations?

While it’s not great quality and mixed in with movie clips, there are certain original clips that appear telecined. Otherwise, check for more on the Berlin DVD extras, though IDK if they were telecined in NTSC or PAL so I can’t suggest one over another.

Those are not the actual projections, they are a inaccurate recreation made for the Divided We Fall bootleg back in 2004.

I’m working on a restoration now similar to the fan restoration to the BTTF ride, I’ll post updates shortly.

Wow! Really? That’s pretty amazing news to hear!
I personally saw your beautiful work on “Song Of The South” and the result was pretty incredible!
Now, I’m really curious how you’ll handle such a restoration for Star Tours ride in the same way than Themaxleydog’s BTTF ride!
Anyway, I definitely wish you the best for it and for sure, now, I’m really excited!

😃

Forgot about this lol, I pretty much finished it but never uploaded it. Will upload shortly

I’ve rendered a second version, but after viewing the video on my Huawei P20 phone via Chrome Remote Desktop, I decided to experiment with the saturation.

What do you guys think? More, less or none?

I would lower the saturation, you can see the colors expanding out of the lines, also I would try to use a little bit of denoising and sharpening

Song Of The South [35mm Restoration V3] (a WIP)
Time

For some time I’ve been working on a Song Of The South restoration from a 35mm scan, the past 2 releases I’ve done used automated cleanup, however this cleanup didn’t get all of the dirt. And thus I am redoing my restoration doing a manual dirt cleanup, along with a new color correction and using higher quality tools [PFclean rather than Virtualdub], I am also receiving help from YoshiKiller2S from the Lost Media Wiki with the dirt cleanup, though if anyone wants to help that would be great as there are 120,000+ frames to clean.

Rock Odyssey (1987 Obscure Hanna-Barbera Animated Film) (* unfinished project *)
Time

Rock Odyssey is a ultra-obscure 1987 Hanna-Barbera animated film, It was only shown in America once, and has only been seen since in the 90s and 2000s on foreign TV, the last confirmed airing of it was in Fall 2010 on Boomerang SE Asia.

Right now I am restoring the film from a 1,300kbps DIVX 5 VHSrip of a mid 90s spanish airing from 2008, the only copy of the english audio I can find is from Dailymotion, which seems to be from a offscreen recording. [So if anyone has a better quality rip, or english audio track. PLEASE POST IT]

The final restoration will be upscaled to 720p, the audio is a best source mix, with the small amount of dialog being taken from the crappy english version, and the songs being from the spanish rip.

Song Of The South - many projects, much info & discussion thread (Released)
Time

I am looking for various things if people are willing to rip them

Hong Kong Laserdisc
Lossless or Raw audio rips from either the British VHS or the Japanese Laserdisc
Melodie Van Het Zuiden [Dutch Dub]
Onkel Remus Forteller [Possible Norwegian Dub]
Farbror Remus Berättar/Sången om Södern [Possible Swedish Dub]
שירת הדרום (shyrt hdrvm)[Possible Hebrew Dub]

Any dub that you find, the tracks I have for some of the languages are really jank and if you rip your vhs it’s probably better than the ones I currently have, which a lot of them come off of sketchy sites. Also some dubs were apparently only made for TV [such as a Hungarian dub that was discovered and posted on Myspleen] So any dub that you find of Song Of The South would be a great addition as a optional track.

Small Update: While on the hunt for the rarer dub tracks [Cantonese and (Unconfirmed) Hebrew] I was able to find a version of the Japanese track with dubbed songs, It will be included in the next release.

Actually, I found out by comparing it to the Laserdisc, it is actually a completely different dub, the Japanese VHS release and the Japanese Laserdisc release are 2 different dubs.
