Info: Terminator 2 - in search of the theatrical sound mix...
Time

On the previous page Kaosjm was able to rip the full bitrate DTS track from the PIBF-91219 release.  This has been stated as a CDS track but is still in question because we can't get confirmation.  I've listened to this DTS track and the confirmed AC3 CDS track from the first DVD and can't make a decision.  They do sound the same, and to me the CDS track sounds very similar to any of the other tracks.  It's too hard to tell without someone very knowledgeable on the subject.

I even contacted hairy_hen who also from the previous page seems to be the guy who can figure this out for us.  Though unfortunately there has been no reply for quite some time.

I've been having computer problems on my main rig where I have the file and it will probably be some time before I get that up and running again.  Kaosjm might be able to provide the DTS file again to anyone interested if you PM him.

The Keep (1983) - 35mm Preservation Scan Opportunity (Released)
Time

I think the only way to get the "Director's Cut" of "The Keep" would be to coordinate a heist to steal the print from the located vault where I'm sure all the elements are just withering away.  Michael Mann disowns this film and has pretty much been the one behind this not getting released properly for a long time.  Maybe someday when "Mann" is no longer around or has a change of heart then some label could go searching and put it together.  Kind of like what happened with "Nightbreed."

Would appreciate a myspleen invite if anyone can spare one.

So, last Week I got some of the TeamBlu stuff. (The one who made this possible knows who he is :) )

And so I was able to give "The Neverending Story" (2 Discs), "Jason goes to Hell", "Conan - Extended Cut", "Night of the living Dead [1990]", "Terminator" and "Temrinator 2" a "try".

Long things short: I just love the Work of Team Blu. That's what official Release should be... (okay, personally I would love having a german Audio track, because some people I know just watch movies.. dubbed, and have no interest in watching them in original Audio, so I can enjoy these Blus only with quite a few friends... )

I think it is quite good, that this weekend my next door neighbor is not at home. The 2.0 Track on Terminator 2 is just a monster. I love the complete dynamic of the CDS (if I remember right) track, but the 2.0 Track just blows my Audio Setup into new spheres of power.

Damn great work.

Conan Extended Cut?????  Extended cut still has a "?" by availability?  Can DJ shed any light on Conan it seems to be the most elusive of all the releases if you ask me.  Is the extended cut audio fixed liked the theatrical cut?  Anyway Conan can get precedence for upload when things get back rolling?  Not trying to be pushy just wondering.  Thanks!

On the Terminator 2 Skynet Edition forum on blu-ray.com someone said they had a dvd that included the CDS Mix in full bitrate DTS.  From some searching it seems to be the R2 Japan-Geneon Special Edition.

http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=160#10

The DVD is unfortunately out of print and I can't find a rip of this specific DVD anywhere.  I messaged the guy on the forum if he would be willing to share but he won't respond.  The DVD looks like this and the picture he posted was of this same DVD.

Anyone have any knowledge of this disc and or have a copy or know of how to obtain this CDS Mix in DTS?  From what I gather it would be one of the best if not the best option for the CDS Mix rather than the AC3.
