"The Clones Revealed" (Released)
Time
Due to Legal Reasons, the DVDHolocron does not link directly to any downloads. However, I do link to other sites that do contain those links (Torrent Trackers, FE.org's Rapidshare links, etc.). I want to thank FE.org and all the torrent trackers for having the balls to host links such as that... I apparently don't :-(

And daveytod, thanks for all the hard work on another great DVD, for contributing to the DVDHolocron, and for adding "you must be registered" to the FE.com RS links... I'm gonna start dropping that all over the site... will help avoid some confusion.

Pat-Fett: Thanks for the kind words.

Much (although not all) is available via RapidShare and/or BitTorrent, as well as a.b.starwars. If you don't know or understand these services, there are many great tutorials across the internet. I have been slowly posting very basic tutorials on my blog (don't expect detailed explainations, just enough info to get you started) and last night transferred much of them to the Tutorial section of the DVDHolocron. If after reading the tutorials you are still unclear, feel free to send me an email.

I am also hard at work on a distribution forum, of sorts. Tentatively entitled "DVDHolocron Star Wars DVD Vines," it borrows a concept from my Grateful Dead music trading days. There will be a thread for each DVD that is showcased in the DVDHolocron. When you locate a DVD you would like, you post in the thread for that DVD stating that you would like to be added to the list for that disc. When you obtain one of these DVD's, you can post that you are willing to distribute it. Basically, anyone willing to distribute a disc, simply goes to that thread, sends it to the first person on the list; when the first person receives it, they copy it and send it to the second person on the list, and so on, and so on. It has worked quite well for many years in the GD Trading community, I'm hoping to get it off the ground for these as well.

I am aware that there exist many covers for general laserdisc transfers. I have many of them, although they are not on the site yet, as my priorities were getting articles up for as many different different DVD's as I could before going live. I am probably going to create a new category, such as "Generic Trilogy Covers" or something similar, containing all of these.

I will host variant covers. I have been working on putting galleries at the bottom of articles for DVD's that have multiple covers, but I haven't uploaded many variants yet, a higher priority was making sure I had at least one cover for as many of the releases I could.

kaine23: sending me the covers would be awesome! should I PM you my address?

Star Wars DVD Covers
Time
I've been talking about this for about a week in another thread, but thought I'd mention it here...

I have started a site, the DVDHolocron, whose purpose is to catalog and archive all relevent information on Star Wars DVD Releases (basically, all the projects you all create). The reason I mention it in this thread is, I have categories for Cover Art and Disc Label Art. If anyone needs somewhere to host their covers, or are poking around the site and have covers that I don't, please feel free to upload them to the DVDHolocron. All you need do is upload them and (if known) list the Creators name. I will take care of categorizing them and linking them to the appropriate DVD Entry, Creator's page, etc. Thanks in advance, and I hope you all enjoy the site!

Thanks again for all the support and uploads. I've been a little slow categorizing all the covers you guys have been uploading, as I'm having a rough week, and I've been working on the blog a lot. The blog is a companion piece to the wiki, featuring tutorials on getting the most out of DVDHolocron, as well as all the latest in Star Wars on TV and DVD News. It's currently running on a barely modified default Wordpress template. I haven't spent much time customizing it, as I'm contemplating switching to Mambo/Joomla, but it still looks pretty good.

Again, thanks for all the kind words and support. I know it's a lot of work, I've been working on this every day for about 2 months (at least 2 hours a day, some days as many as 14 or so hours).

ColinK: Thanks for all the infor you've been adding, now I just gotta sort through all of it and make sure everything is categorized properly. And as far as uploading images, it's working fine for me, and for ThrowgnCpr, who has uploading some covers, so I don't know what to tell ya, sorry.

ThrowgnCpr: Thanks for the uploads, I will categorize them and make sure they appear on the appropriate pages.

none: Your suggestions are duly noted. I had considered adding a category like "Source Material" that would list all the TV shows, wtc. that appear on these various releases, including links to which releases contain said shows... It's something I'm still considering, but that would be a future update... I still have a lot to do just to fill out what is already there.

And a note to all who are contributing: If you have info, graphics, etc., that are not included on the site, feel free to register and upload, correct, etc... or, if you are not comfortable with that, you could email them to me. And don't be intimdated by the complexity of some of the articles, if you want to add to them, go right ahead... I get a complete list of all changes made, and I will correct, recategorize, etc. to fix mistakes and make it fit in with the conventions of the DVDHolocron.

Thanks for all the kind words, I put a lot opf work into the site (still doing so, hope to have tutorials up this weekend) and it's always nice to have positive feedback. And Faustus, thanks for the offer. As it is a wiki, if you register you will be able to edit pages directly. If you don't feel like doing that, sending me NFO files for DVD's I'm missing could be helpful, they tend to contain a good bit of relevant info.

I’ve been lurking in these forums for about a year now, posting occasionally, and reading ALOT. I recently was thinking on how to contribute to the community, but having absolutely no video editing skills, I was at an impasse. While figuring the best way to catalog the collection I have amassed (thanks mostly to these forums) I decided to do it online. The end result is the DVDHolocron, an interactive repository of Star Wars DVD Knowledge. Featuring a wiki with over 120 DVD’s (so far), including cover art, trailers, screen shots, etc., and a blog where I intend to post breaking news in the community (new DVD’s released and/or announced), reviews, and other Star Wars related video news such as scheduled airings of TV shows.

I hope you all enjoy it, I am hoping to bring your work to a larger audience. Please check it out and let me know your thoughts. (I know the blog needs a little work, but my main focus has been the wiki… a new blog template will be coming soon.

NOTE: I’m not trying to step on any toes with this site. If your work is listed inaccurately, credited wrongly, or not credited at all, please register and correct it (that’s what a wiki is all about), or let me know and I will take care of it.

Just saw one of the mailboxes across the street from 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore... AWESOME!!! We briefly discussed the possibility of stealing it, till a friend pointed out that it would be "hotter than an ATM." Got a few pictures on my phone, if anyone's interested I'll see about getting them online.

Dawn Of The Dead Ultimate Edition Volume 2-UPDATE Discs 1-4 (Released)
Time
Just grabbed the second disc off Usenet (hadn't realized it had been there for a minute) and it's awesome, as was the first disc. Thanks for all the effort and keep up the great work!!
Just one quick question though... what program do y'all use to generate those 3D images of the covers... the ones that look like it is a DVD case standing on display?

thanks
