Hey. I don't post much but am a long time lurker/occasional poster. Also I'm in my mid-30s and gre up with the original trilogy in a major way. Here are some of my thoughts.
A long time ago, I threw out the suggestion that Boba Fett be omitted entirely from Jedi. Not sure I was the first to voice this, but I might've been. I definitely felt like Boba Fett was supposed to be a mysterious, high paid bounty hunter, paid by both Jabba and the Empire to find Han (& company) and I stick to my assertion that the way he found Han so easily is that he had some pre-existing knowledge of the Han/Lando relationship.
Doesn't seem logical that he would suddenly have become part of Jabba's entourage, reduced to standing around and getting easily killed. The guy should have been off on his next bounty, I daresay the only reason he was in Jedi at all, is because he had become popular amongst the fans.
Now if it was possible for Adywan to create a satisfying showdown between Han and Boba Fett, I would be all for it, but given the existing footage I just don't see how, therefore I say the total removal of Fett is really the only way to go. his death is basically pure slapstick, and only serves to lower the stakes of the Sarlaac battle, as well as reducing Fett to a bumbler, instead of a badass.
Also, I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but it has seemed like a weird continuity error to me for a long time, that the Tyderium needs a code to land on endor. The holographic display during the General Nadine sequence shows the force field coming up from the sheild generator to surround the Death Star, clearly NOT covering the area where the Tyderium is presumed to land. maybe this could be fixed with an updated holographic display?
Another thing I mentioned before and I think others may have agreed, is that the shot where the sheild generator explodes depicts a ginormous explosion that would easily engulf Han and the others. Watch the sequence: After planting the charges, has comes running out like 50 feet away and ducks behind some reeds or something. Then we see a monstrous explosion that looks like its decimating a 1/2 mile radius at least. Then we cut back to Han, who doesn't have so much a a smudge on his face or a black puff in his foreground, his patch of reeds is completely untouched. Total continuity failure.
