Let JediTray back in
Time

Wow guys, this thread has really gotten.... Erm, lively.  :)

I would like to think that I have been a productive member and maybe someday can use my original persona and no proxy servers?  That gets really old....

If not, maybe we can have a contest to see what my new official name could be?  Something that reflects that I am a SW fan, but not necessarily as, well, young sounding as JediTray?  It's the only name I've used since I was able to dialup in 1998, so maybe a change is in order?

I have been steering people here, I have been helping people fill those holes in their collections and providing DL links, and I'd really like to come back in a 100% official capacity.

Anyway, back to the silliness.  I don't think I've ever been a prospect for a barbecue before.  Nudity?  Power tools?  Really?

:)

Great News Indeed. I know some fans are upset that the original cuts won't be on the blu-ray but for me I like both versions. Their are some changes in the Special Editions I don't like greedo shot 1st and the 1st cgi jabba in 1997 but over all I like the speocal editions of the original trilogy and I also like the prequels granted not all of the stuff in those films are great. No matter which versions of the ot comes out on blu-ray is fine with me.

And more.  Okay, I gotta stop.  I can only laugh so much before it hurts.

While yes, there is potential for theatrical reconstructions to look better, I'd still say no I am not happy at all.  The difference in quality between the source materials for the OOT and the Blu-rays would cause a lot of problems I imagine.  I am not a fan editor, just an audio guy, but I am willing to bet that the Blu-rays will bring as much frustration at least as they would perhaps bring some joy.

You can keep polishing a turd, and it's still just a turd.  A Blu-ray/GOUT hybrid would be too jarring to both the eyes and ears.  If I'm wrong, then please, one of you editor types, chime in and tell us.

ATTENTION: Dayv needs our help
Time

And that is seconded, DJ.

I have medical things I have to deal with every day, with tons of pills, doctor visits, and PAPERWORK as a result.

Jay, if Dayv cannot supply documentation that is RELEVANT TO HIS CASE, then he is a fraud.  Plain and simple.  It is WAY too easy to cook up documents that appear to have a doctor's letterhead on them, especially for someone that is a graphic designer.

Also, a doctor will not have any trouble discussing the basics with someone if authorized by the patient.  ESPECIALLY if there is potential for criminal proceedings.

So yes, I call bullshit.

Wow.  You guys are hitting it on the head when referring to how people think of us.  Just check out the comments on Blu-ray.com.  People mentioning the OOT get minus points, and those that say it's better than nothing and I'm getting it anyway get plus points.  Anyone trying to bring up the originals gets called names.

My only complaint, as I knew the rest was going to suck already, was that the bonus features will only be available in the big set.  Even if I did decide to bite the bullet and buy something, the damn prequels have to be included to get the stuff I really want.  It's sad when you have to think about the bonus features being the highlight of the set, rather than the films themselves.

 Be careful!

At any rate, it does seem a bit odd now that the side view has been pointed out as not showing the chamber.  Vader only takes one step and then poof it's gone.  Now I imagine seeing it retracting off to the left with a faint mechanical sound when I look at it.
