STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>

I get the feeling that Return of the Jedi Revisited won’t need as many changes, because many of the effects still hold up very well.

Idk I don’t think he does these because the effects don’t hold up rather just for himself and fellow fans, he originally started this all because he wanted to color correct the most 2004 dvds then he started fooling around with other things and the rest is history

Neverar's A New Hope Technicolor Recreation <strong>(Final Version Released!)</strong>

The first post of this thread has pretty much everything you’d need to know about the project. Short answer is yes, this is ‘just’ a regrade, and it is going to be the basis of Harmy’s 3.0.

@Stotchy: What Towne said. Though I’m thinking of keeping some of the inconsistency of the film sources in the preliminary grade of Reel 2, since some of my final grades are extremely consistent across scenes, to the point that it looks like a modern movie. Star Wars was always inconsistent from shot to shot, and perhaps Reel 2 should reflect some of that.

Gotcha, looks incredible so far

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)

I wonder which version they consider the original, since Lucas considers the edited additions to be the originals

I hope they finally release the original versions it would be a great way to celebrate 40 years of Star Wars, the whole galaxy would rejoice and balance would return to the force once more, obviously there will be some sort of 40th anniversary edition but it may just be a 4K release of the current version, that being said I would hope it’s a whole new transfer I’d love to see new blu ray and 4K releases of the original cuts (actually I’d like 4K version of every film and maybe then they can just release new blu rays using the new masters from the 4K releas, hopefully that would solve the color issues)

This is actually the first Star Wars movie in a very long time that I don’t think really needs things cut out to enjoy it. There was no cringey dialogue, no bad camera angles, and very little poor CGI. Maybe I’d cut out Leia at the end, or just have her back turned to the camera and cut away before she turns around, but that’s it. Having an opening crawl would be a cool experiment, but wouldn’t improve the movie.

I agree but I personally thought Leia looked better than Tarkin, not to say that they both weren’t brought to life amazing well but I would have kept Tarkin with his back turned with his reflection in the window, you really don’t see Leia for long so I’d just leave it

Well, that didn’t take long. 😉

RO and ANH as one movie anyone?

I knew I couldn’t be the only one thinking this lol, still I think there would be some things cut here and there idk if just combining both movie into one would cut it then again its beautiful how perfectly RO leads into the opening moments of ANH, I shrieked with glee seein Leia’s ship detach from the star destroyer

Star Wars Prequel Trilogy (Anti-Cheese Edit) (Released)

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think these edits are near the quality of other options avaible. It’s not even that it’s a bad edit. It is done relatively well, with great redubs and smart cuts. It really has no problems and truly does improve upon the commercial blu-rays that someone might view instead. It’s just a little frustrating to see edits like these get so much more spotlight than other fanedits that I feel are far superior. I really respect people like the Collider crew and it makes me so angry to see them rave about such mediocre edits. If only I could show them Hal9000’s trilogy with Adywans A New Hope Revisited. Edits like these do so much more. Like the following:

-Rescore scenes
-Masterfully reinsert entire subplots
-Restructure a films story
-Redefine how we view characters
-Brand new special effects
-Attempt to modify the tone of the film

These type of edits have clear goals, and attempt to achieve them as best as possible. And it takes these hardworking people YEARS of work. YEARS! After they finish, they are left with an amazing finished product that deserves to be shown to all Star Wars fans. That is precisely the reason that these type of YouTube edits frustrate the hell out of a fan like myself.

I apologize for the rant.

I agree there are way superior edits out there, I think it’s just that not many are exposed to them, btw are you referring to the newer edits by Hal9000 or his original ones I’ve been meaning to watch his newer ones personally (cloak of deception etc)

Jaws: The Revenge | Theatrical Cut Reconstruction - HD (Released)

I actually just checked this out a few hours ago. Yep the Nextflix version has the original ending. Strange. On another note the print of the first Jaws on Netflix is not the BD print either. It looks to be an HD master of the print from the 2000 and 2005 DVDs. It also had the first surround mix done for Jaws in 2000 ie minus the restored sound FX from the original mono.

I feel like we should let more people know about theses especially the jaws the revenge one before Netflix rams a shark and blows it up for no reason lol

Info: Jaws - PCM mono track

This is off the topic of audio but it’d be nice to have the wire from the opening scene and a sailboat on the horizon later on the film that were both digitally removed for the BD restored to the film.

I never really noticed, I heard about the sailboat and honestly it’s not a huge deal to me but still I’m sure someone could restor it quite easily btw what wire are you referring to, I wonder if those were supposed to be in the movie in the first place it seems like such a small thing to randomly change lol

If there’s any interest in a preservation, I have both the Signature and 1995 letterbox LDs and can capture the raw PCM mixes. I also have the rare 2 hour cut of THE SHARK IS STILL WORKING, which was recently released on the Blu-ray, but was cut down by Universal and rescored due to licensing issues. I think a definitive JAWS Blu-ray could be made with the resources on this site.

I agree would someone be able to get all the available tracks and have them sync up to the blu ray, sort of like Harmy did with despecialized where he included many different mixes ? That I’d love to see the ease of just popping in a disc and selecting what track I want seems like a lovely way to watch Jaws over and over listening to a diff track every time, needless to say if this happens I know what I’ll be doing that weekend lol
