Rey should get an orange or yellow one, that would be good. Like Yun in Dark Forces II. The whole toy line thing is weird and amusing though, like they kept getting it wrong in new ways. I think RetroBlasting did a bit on them.
Or maybe even a rainbow-colored one. Seriously though the colors of the lightsabers should be limited.
There’s also multiple instances (first shown, I think, in ROTS when Yoda is chopping up clones outside the Temple) of a character throwing a lightsaber, the blade impaling a victim, and the saber staying in place just like a sword or other physical object would, rather than falling to the ground and partially bisecting the victim.
When watching TFA, during the scene on the bridge, I had the thought about how a normal saber would have just cleanly impaled someone, but Ren’s saber was continually sparking random bits of plasma up inside Han’s torso, burning the rest of his insides as it was held there.
And now I’ll never be able to watch TFA without imaginig hundreds of holes being melted through Han’s organs during that scene…
Whenever I watch Han’s death in TFA I think back to how it should’ve been in a much different i.e. better Return of the Jedi.

I never said that. I was merely passing along the info of how there was a scene of Vader cut out of Rogue One where he is getting his suit put back on. You sound like you need way more sleep or something.

- Darth Vader was going to talk with Krennic aboard the Death Star. It’s possible these scenes were replaced with Tarkin.
I believe that in the original cut of Rogue One both Tarkin and Vader was going to gang up on Krennic after Vader using the force took Krennic’s gun away from him after he drew his gun on Tarkin after both men got into it with one another. And of course Vader’s big scene at the end of the original cut was going to be him force choking Krennic to death after Krennic survived the Death Star blast on the planet of Scarif and was then brought aboard The Devastator. I’ve also seen in a behind-the-scenes video of the actor who plays K-2SO that both he and Captain Andor was originally going to get shot and killed by Krennic right outside of the building that housed the satellite dish. There also was no Jyn in prison scene, Ring of Kafrene scene, marching Bodhi Rook to Saw Gerrera’s men in the early morning hours on Jedha scene and no busting Jyn out of prison on Wobani scene in the original cut of Rogue One.
What I didn’t like about Revenge of the Sith is what I didn’t like about all 3 of the Star Wars prequels and that was all of the blue screen. On the other hand the late, great Sir Christopher Lee was indeed the very best thing about the prequel trilogy.
He was saying that when the EU let’s the Jedi do crazy stupid things with their powers, it opens up silly plot holes in the movies. So the Jedi should never have such crazy powers.
I dunno why he couldn’t just say that instead of trying to make you look dumb. Not very nice. Or successful.
The force’s abilities are inconsistent throughout the movies. Just watch the cinemasins videos on the Star Wars movies. There needs to be limitations on what the force can do.

It wasn’t a negative review of The Force Awakens that told me to hate it, it was my own mind that told me to do so. Rogue One swept me off of my feet and I’ve just left TFA in the dust. Episode 7 is just such a redundant clunker.

Oof that sounds much worse. The best part of that scene is the abject terror of the Rebels…doing that would suck the emotion right out of it.
I guess what I meant to say is that the Vader rampage scene in slow-mo with Adagio for Strings playing would be a fun alternative way of doing that scene that someone could come up with on YouTube. I do need to make myself more clear.

I loved The Force Awakens when it first came out and I really wish that I can undo that love. That flick is a tired rehash that gets more and more boring and redundant on repeat viewings whereas Rogue One keeps getting better with repeat viewings. It’s as simple as that.

An anthology film about Vader would most definitely be an excellent idea and maybe have Boba Fett in it somehow. We could see Vader in all new ways like without his cape on or getting suited up after a dip in the ol’ bacta tank. Rumor has it that there was a scene cut in Rogue One that showed Vader getting dressed after his time in the bacta tank. It goes without saying that a Vader movie would most assuredly make a ton of money.
You know a much better title for this movie would be The Corellian Smuggler: A Star Wars Story.
I’ve seen the force awakens about 8 times, 6 at the theater and 2 at home on the ol’ Blu-ray. I haven’t seen it in quite a while nor do I really care to. I’ve seen Rogue One in the theater 20 times (Best movie-going experience in my lifetime.) and countless times more on Blu-ray and it just keeps getting better every time I see it! 😄 That pretty much sums up what I think about both films. 😄

He never should’ve fired Gary Kurtz. ** Return of the Jedi was originally going to be about as dark as The Empire Strikes Back but George scrapped that idea much to my chagrin. Instead they went with the version of episode 6 that follows a lot of the same beats as episode 4 does. ** It’s also quite similar to episode 7. Too much repetition in this saga if ya ask me.
** If we’re going to bring up changing premises, it’s only fair to bring up the fact that the premise(s) of Empire Strikes Back/“Star Wars II” changed almost half-way into the writing process. As per the story treatment and first draft, ESB wasn’t going to leave so many loose ends as the film did. Han doesn’t get frozen in carbonite, and Luke successfully faces his “trial” - i.e. refuses to join Vader and the dark side - and is a Jedi Knight by the end of the story. Thus, the third film wouldn’t have needed to resolve what the second film left unresolved (and no need to stretch the OT’s story into nine episodes).
And Vader wasn’t going to be Luke’s daddy in the earlier draft of the script for The Empire Strikes Back either. It still stands that Return of the Jedi would’ve still been a whole lot better if Irvin Kershner filmed the original ideas for The Empire Strikes Back. But then again maybe the original Star Wars trilogy only should’ve been 2 films. Hell anymore I just mainly watch the original along with the new Rogue One nowadays. 😄
Actually the colors of the 1997 CGI Jabba are spot-on accurate but the damn thing still looks like crap and it’s extremely hard for me to believe that he’d be mobile. The scene never worked at all and with the Greedo scene that precedes it the Jabba in the hangar scene just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.
The rather mean-spirited and bigoted term fan-service is anti-fan and it’s getting so repetitive that I’m just so damn sick and tired of hearing it! The fans are what built this franchise so why shouldn’t they be revered?

You mean they deserved to die? I don’t follow you. Characters that actually feel alive and then die in emotional and truly dramatic ways would have been better. To me they were stock archetypes who weren’t developed and then just got killed off to avoid sequel inconsistencies.
Rogue One characters didn’t feel alive? Jyn is WAY better than rey from the farce awakens for instance. Jyn has vulnerabilities and flaws that she overcomes for a cause much, much greater than herself while rey is just a boringly perfect robot that can do no wrong, rey is about as flat as a pancake as a one-dimensional character can get.
