For me, the true canon is I-VI and the 2008 The Clone Wars Series. Everything else I basically consider fan fiction that ranges from great/authentic to not very good. I do love most of the content we’ve gotten in the Disney era with the exception of The Rise of Skywalker.

Hello all! I recently learned that the 1931 classic Dracula originally had a verdante tint and the original aspect ratio was 1.2:1 and not 1.35:1 as seen on the blu ray and other releases. Has anyone thought of doing an edit that applies the verdante tint over the film and crops it to the original ratio? I would definitely love to see the movie like this and I hope I am not alone in that. I would be happy to help fund a project for anyone interested in taking it on.

Thank you! This helps a lot. Looks like some of them have been replaced with posters by another artist. Still, the ones by Struzan that are there are much better quality than I’ve been able to find. It’s crazy that some artwork by an artist like Struzan is so hard to find.

Took a stab at making a set of Blu-ray slipcovers for all eight saga films. I decided to use the sequel trilogy title aesthetic (Serif Gothic) to have a consistent look on the spines, while using the original title treatments and teaser poster artwork on the cover. I haven’t gotten around to designing a back cover yet, but here’s what I’ve got so far:

Does anyone have a Criterion Blu Ray case template?
I haven’t ever found a good template for a criterion Blu Ray cover, but what I have done is downloaded some criterion style covers that other people have made and used that as a template for designing my own. Hope that helps! 😃
I just watched about half of this, and I’m really impressed! I don’t have a 4k tv or anything, but the 1080p version still looks really good! Great work to everyone involved!

I have ordered from them twice before. The first time they shipped my order in four days! The most recent time it was taking awhile, but I gave it two weeks before I emailed them. As soon as I did they shipped it immediately. I figured they misplaced my order or something, but it’s kind of interesting to see that it happened to someone else recently too!
It’s nothing that’s going to stop me from ordering from them again though! 😃

Thanks! 😃 Yeah, I prefer Criterion covers myself, but I wanted to have the option for normal ones. When I do my special edition covers I may try printing some for normal cases and then trying to make a slip case! I haven’t had too much luck when I’ve tried to do that in the past though.

I made some Blu Ray covers for Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Let me know what you all think and if I can make some improvements! I wanted to make some covers that matched the style of the recent Blu Ray releases of The Force Awakens and Rogue One. I didn’t make these exactly like those, but I think it captures their overall style. For the text on the back of the covers I used the text from the VHS’s I had when I was a kid. I made two copies of each cover, one for a Criterion Blu Ray case and another for a standard Blu Ray Case.

What kind of sticker paper did you use for the box? When I made mine I used sticker paper with a matte finish, and I like the way it feels, but sometimes the colors aren’t very vibrant. Do you have any suggestions for some better sticker paper? Thanks!

I recently began working on another cover set for the Despecialized version. I am using resources from Noble-6, found on Deviant Art and posters by Rich Davies. Like I mentioned previously, there are so many awesome posters out there, it is just so difficult to choose just one…

Also, I’m not sure if this is something you are able to fix and edit or not, but it would be really cool if you could change the Tie Fighter lasers from red to green on the Rogue One cover.
All of your covers are really awesome and excellent for anyone looking to have a matching set! I especially like your prequel covers! The alternate posters you used for the backs of your prequel covers really take me back to when they were marketing the movies! 😃
That is a really awesome poster, and I am interested to see what you come up with! The only problem I have with “Saga” posters is that the saga is always changing. That poster will work for 1-7 (and most likely 8 and 9) but when they inevitably make a 10,11, and 12 then the poster will have to change and you may have to change the box again if you want to incorporate the new trilogy into the box. But, if this doesn’t bother you, then obviously it is not a problem!
The poster is really really cool by the way! Any poster that is able to encompass the entire saga is great, and I really like the artistic style.
Another artist who I really like and who I feel really captures the look of each film is Brian Rood. If you’re interested, his pictures are really worth looking at. 😃

the versions I got my hands on were from TUIG and yeah it sucks they have no menus but I can wait until I get into a private torrent site. The barebones versions are plenty to tide me over and they did take me a while to figure out how to convert MKV files to a blu-ray format but after that it was smooth sailing.Some people find it easier to just buy them, some of us don’t have the internet speed to download 200+GB of data or blu-ray burners etc. I’ve had this argument before, but it’s just supply and demand. Until there is an easier way to get these, which I doubt there ever will be, because if that ever happened it would for sure get shut down at that point, people will always try to find a way to make an extra buck or two.
You don’t need a blu-ray burner. All you need is a DVD burner and some Dual-layered DVDs to get your hands on high quality versons of the DE’s/SSE’s. The AVC-HD versions on TUIG (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yLsvexWBVM8IYSGopKuSfsGk5YIgCwQWd23bqb5ryD4/pub) and do the multi-part rar download. If you have good internet speeds then it will download in like an hour or two, if not then it might take 3-4 hours. Then all you need is something like ImgBurn and burn it to the Dual-layered DVDs. If you’re really that desperate why not take a day to figure that out with the help of an extensive guide and a community more than willing to help you along the way. The AVC-HD versions are perfect for Dual-layered DVDs because they’re only 8-9 Gigabytes. Why wait for 5-10 days to get it in the mail for 200$ or even 50$ when you can do it for the price of some dual-layered DVDs and take just a few hours of your day. Seems perfectly acceptable to me.
Or let it go overnight or even a few nights…everyone (or so it seems) wants things instantly these days and can’t be bothered putting in some time and effort to actually obtain things that are so worth the time anyway. It actually took me something like 3 weeks to get all the files for these custom BDs and I am still yet to get onto sourcing a burner, discs and printer to print all the covers and whatnot but what is a few weeks to the many years I’ve been denied the experience of watching the theatrical versions on my TV / home cinema in a decent resolution and having it sit nicely on a shelf when not watching?

On this topic I’ve downloaded njvc’s provided box art and I’m puzzled on how your supposed to get the art applied on the disc, a special printer perhaps?
There are some printers that can print right onto a printable discs. You can also get sticker label, which I have used before, but some people have said they have problems with them. Those are the only two options that I know of. Good luck!
Option 1: The only 50 GB printable blu ray discs i can find come in bulk on Amazon for like, 100 bucks…
Option 2: I suck at applying screen protectors or any type of sticker that matter and most blank blu ray discs have a sticker label already on it with their logo or something.

If Jabba appears and Greedo is there, I won’t mind too much. Jabba has a lot of Rodians in his employ, so it makes sense he’d be around. Just no random cameos in a crowd like Dr. Evazan and Walrusman had in Rogue One that seemed gratuitous.
Even George cut kid Greedo from TPM.
I really hope Jabba is one of the villains in the movie! If not the main villain then maybe on the side. I’d be interested to see if they built a Jabba puppet again or do part practical-part cgi like they did for the Bor Gullett monster in Rogue One.
