STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Dude, for your sake take all the time you need in order to grieve, mourn, remember, reflect, laugh, cry and love. This is your journey, man. And above all, don't let anyone dare tell you when you should be done. Not friends, not family, and especially not anyone from the membership of these boards. I'm praying for you, Ady.

J. Williams & LSO, The EMPIRE STRIKES BACK AUDIOPHILE EDITION - Restored & Remastered Score (Released)
Time

ABC,

I finally have had a chance to listen to the Audiophile Edition and I'm still shaking my head in amazement. The depth and clarity is incredible. Wonderful work. I think my favorite track (hard to pick - they're all great) is "The Duel" from Disc Three. No, wait, it's "Hypersapce" from the same disc. Yeah. No that's not quite right, either. Definitely "The Imperial March" from Disc Two, hands down. I take that back, it's really... Aw hang it all. I love the whole thing! Great work, man!

Best,

JD

ABC,

Would like to publicly apologize to you for being one of those who viewed the thread without leaving feedback. I did not intend to frustrate, insult, or despise your work. The samples you've posted are amazing and I am sad that the entire release may be held back because of people like me.

Best,

JD

Ady,

Great work as usual. Was wondering if you were going to do something to the matte painting of the gantry/shaft/control room exterior? Specifically, the current establishing shot does a faux zoom. It doesn't ring true because the zoom is more or less static, that is, both foreground and background elements zoom at the same rate. I hope I'm not confusing the issue. Another forum member addressed this in a video demo, but i can't recall who that was. Keep up the great work.

Best,

JD

Oh man, oh man, oh man. Ady, you're on your way to doing it again! Great work on Palpatine. Did you cut and paste his ROTJ eyes? It's pretty seamless. I would echo the sentiments about a larger-scale snow battle. One thing I would remove is the extra Cloud City fly-bys. They just hollered "Look at what ILM did, just because they could!" But that's just me. This is your edit, man. I'll be sure to snatch it up.

Whatever happened to the scene you were going to add to the end? The additional scene with Darth Vader in his shuttle. I would have loved to see that. And why did you did not alter Obi-Wan's line to 'I wanted you to have this, when you were old enough?' Just curious.

That's intentional. Since the hyperspace effect is blue, the rationale is that the cockpit would reflect the colors outside.

I finally took a gander at the xvid. Adywan, your work on this edit is amazing. Congratulations on a job well done. I can't wait to show my friends what you've accomplished. I was especially tickled to see the hyperspace effect after the Falcon's escape from the Death Star because I first suggested that. At the time, it was only a suggestion about what I thought could be a cool fix to a continuity problem. I was prepared to not have it come to fruition because of technical limitations, and I was OK with that. The fact that you were giving the Special Edition the face lift that LucasFilm should have in '97 was enough for me. But when I saw it for real last evening, I was giddy because, well, it's like that is my contribution to your project. Seeing my username in the credits was icing on the cake! Thanx for going above and beyond. But enough about me...

The entire edit is a work of art. I love the tweaks, the fixes, the audio corrections, the cantina creatures, the DS schematics, the final battle, Chewie's medal, the lightsabers, and the new music edits. In short - I love it all! You have done an outstanding job, sir. I've got some ideas for ESB and ROTJ, but these will wait until such time as you're ready to begin. I now wait patiently for the NTSC DVD-9 to come my way for PIF purposes. I'll be happy to keep the chain going.

Best,

JD

All the chatter concerning the xvid has really got me excited for the forthcoming DVD. Not sure I can wait, though. Would some kind soul PM me the rapidshare link? At least 'twill tide me over for a few weeks as I wait for the DVD-9. Put me down for the NTSC PIF chain - my burner does dual layer.
