The title says it all. I PM’d Agent 9 and haven’t heard a response. My 5 year old daughter has Autism Spectrum Disorder and connecting with her can be a challenge. We’ve recently bonded over the original movies and she’s crazy about John Williams original theme (I catch her humming it when she’s playing). We tried to watch the Zack Snyder’s original cut, but it was too scary for her. I think this edit’s changes in visual and thematic tone and incorporation of JW’s score would make this a perfect cut for her.

If anyone can help me get my hands on it, I’d be eternally grateful.

I also like the Starkiller Edition, however I’d suggest something more in line with your Prequel Trilogy titles. What that would be, I have no idea.

But yes, the idea is that, apparently, one star does not equal one firing. And as far as this edit goes, there’s nothing to say that it wasn’t built for a single-use against Capital Planet.

NeverarGreat, It’s very obvious that you put a great deal of thought into story structure. This idea is fantastic and it only serves to improve the movie.

Hal is modest. His edits are the definitive version. The only big continuity change happens in the third movie. I wouldn’t really call it a continuity change either. It’s more of a patch that resolves a continuity glitch that conflicts with Episode VI. As an editor who wants to fix these kinds of problems you either have to patch the original source or the new source. Hal simply chose to apply his patch to the Prequel and I applaud him for it.

I don’t actually think that about Rey. I don’t know why I said that.

I think you guys are overthinking the Rathtar scene. The biggest problem I have with it, is how over the top it is. While Finn getting grabbed by the tentacle is definitely one example of many in this scene, it’s fine on its own. The cut you did in 1st version was plenty.

Does it make Mary Sue look slick?
Yes.

Does that hurt the movie?
No.

As far as I can tell you got rid of the burps and farts and you gave the scene a better pace by cutting or trimming some shots. Honestly, other than those burps and farts I can’t actually tell you what’s missing. If that isn’t a sign of a well edited scene, than I don’t know what is.

I unfortunately hadn’t checked back to see if he responded until now, so someone else may have taken advantage of the invite. However, another member graciously sent me an invite as well. I too would really appreciate a torrent or a link to one PM’d to me for the 2.7 version. I’m planning on having a New Years Star Wars marathon with my children. We got them lightsabers and a stuffed R2D2 this year and they are crazy for them. I think it’s time to properly introduce them to Star Wars.

Also, the wife and I are watching your prequel trilogy as we speak. We just finished Cloak of Deception. It was very enjoyable.
