I would love to get the link too. đ
I would love to get the link too. đ
Hey guys,
I thought that I wanna share with you my set of the despecialized editions that I finished today. This actually required a lot of work and would not have been possible without all the amazing people here on this website. This is definitely a dream come true for me, as Star Wars always had and will have a special place in my heart.
I made a 4 disc set, including not only njvcâs fantastic versions, but also the German theatrical version and the 35mm versions of all movies.
Last but not least, thanks to all of the amazing people, who made this possible:
harmy, not only for creating the DE, but also the 35mm version of Return of the Jedi.
njcv and solkap, for creating/sharing the beautiful menu editions of the DE.
The G, for uploading Star Wars before solkap started this thread.
stealthboy, for the amazing artwork.
Bluto, for sharing the 35mm editions of SW and ESB.
Laserschwert and TR2N for the German versions of the DEs.
And to all the users of this website, who make this place a wonderful experience for every Star Wars fan. đ
Merry Christmas!
J.D.
Iâve only tried the Star Wars Documentary iso yet and didnât notice any trouble. I burned at the lowest possible speed and let ImgBurn check over the finished project at the end to make sure there were no mistakes.
Der Cover Link ist leider down, lässt sich da was machen? (:

Read the first post.
Cheers for moderating the thread somewhat đ I canât be bothered dealing with people that wonât even do me the courtesy of reading the OPâŚ
Regarding the OP though, maybe I should have carefully re-read it myself as Iâve been going off 6 months of membership or longer which is what I always had in mind and canât fathom why I initially posted as 2 months. So I do apologise to the couple of you that did meet the original OP conditions (now updated) but I have been discounting your requests due to not meeting the actual conditions I was measuring against all along.

Sad to hear, but totally understandable.
Nice gesture and help for many people nontheless! đ
Iâm really looking forward to this, as I liked the old version and will most likely even more like the new one, once it is ready.
Keep up your great work and take all the time you need!
Because people give up and buy it off of him, if it were easier to acquire that would be a different story.
I agree it is a bit tedious but it really shames me that fans are WILLING to put money into this. I mean
the versions I got my hands on were from TUIG and yeah it sucks they have no menus but I can wait until I get into a private torrent site. The barebones versions are plenty to tide me over and they did take me a while to figure out how to convert MKV files to a blu-ray format but after that it was smooth sailing. Some people find it easier to just buy them, some of us donât have the internet speed to download 200+GB of data or blu-ray burners etc. Iâve had this argument before, but itâs just supply and demand. Until there is an easier way to get these, which I doubt there ever will be, because if that ever happened it would for sure get shut down at that point, people will always try to find a way to make an extra buck or two.
You donât need a blu-ray burner. All you need is a DVD burner and some Dual-layered DVDs to get your hands on high quality versons of the DEâs/SSEâs. The AVC-HD versions on TUIG (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yLsvexWBVM8IYSGopKuSfsGk5YIgCwQWd23bqb5ryD4/pub) and do the multi-part rar download. If you have good internet speeds then it will download in like an hour or two, if not then it might take 3-4 hours. Then all you need is something like ImgBurn and burn it to the Dual-layered DVDs. If youâre really that desperate why not take a day to figure that out with the help of an extensive guide and a community more than willing to help you along the way. The AVC-HD versions are perfect for Dual-layered DVDs because theyâre only 8-9 Gigabytes. Why wait for 5-10 days to get it in the mail for 200$ or even 50$ when you can do it for the price of some dual-layered DVDs and take just a few hours of your day. Seems perfectly acceptable to me.
Or let it go overnight or even a few nightsâŚeveryone (or so it seems) wants things instantly these days and canât be bothered putting in some time and effort to actually obtain things that are so worth the time anyway. It actually took me something like 3 weeks to get all the files for these custom BDs and I am still yet to get onto sourcing a burner, discs and printer to print all the covers and whatnot but what is a few weeks to the many years Iâve been denied the experience of watching the theatrical versions on my TV / home cinema in a decent resolution and having it sit nicely on a shelf when not watching?

I believe the way to get your own (physical) set is at least half the fun.
Whenever I made something by myself with a lot of effort and planning, it was really satisfying at the end.

Warning: Detailed spoilers for the upcoming Han Solo movie! Proceed at your own risk! This was hilarious.
It was.
I thought it was funny, too. Theyâre totally right, you just know theyâre going to work the Kessel Run into the story somehow, and of course Boba Fettâs going to show up somehow. I just wish these things could be left to our imagination, I donât need every little detail of Star Wars backstory over-explained.
I could also imagine Greedo appearing in this movie, being an unlucky (shitty) bounty hunter.
But I would also prefer if they were leaving Hanâs backstory to our imagination and focus on new stories/characters we know much less about, but who knows, eventually this will be a great movie.
I really hope for a young Padawan Anakin show. This would add more depth to his character development as well as Palpatines influence on him from the beginning. His relationship to Obi-Wan and their problems could also work out really well, as theyâre having more of master-padawan realtionship than that of two friends.
All these things were also shown in the âAnakin & Obi-Wanâ comic, where it worked out very good imo. Itâs still questionable if this would give the showrunners enough material, but they could tell some really good stories in this time.
Itâs so frustrating to see all of this. On one hand, it would be ideal if we could just have links out in the open for everyone! OF COURSE we want everyone to experience Star Wars the ârightâ way! But then, we are crossing a line where the Mouse could wake up and shut it all down over copyright infringement concerns. So, weâre forced to put small barriers up to make sure it at least takes a little bit of research and work to get it.
Then you have the asshats who just profit off that confusion.
I think youâre absolutely right here. Even though itâs really hard to get your hands on these amazing works (especially for relatively new users; like me), I believe that it is only right that we have to wait until some experienced/older user wants to share it. Even if is takes the time, I have no problem with waiting, before supporting some dickheads trying to make money with other people work.
My favorite here would be clearly the '97 version. I grew up watching them on VHS and know exactly how I first watched them together with my dad. Itâs just the nostalgia watching these versions, even though the Despecialized Editions are nowadays a bit up front. (A âmixâ between them would be great, I guess).
Very nice work, kinda cool to see this in comparison to the Despecialized Edition. Tbh, I would really like to see a âmixâ between the Despecialized an the Special Editions, as some changes are definitely not that bad.
Definitely the young Anakin/Hayden Christensen ghost. It just feels so off place, especially when you havenât seen the prequels and all off the sudden you just see this creepy teenager alongside Obi-Wan and Yoda.
WĂźrde mich auch wahnsinnig Ăźber die Links freuen, echt top Arbeit!
