Rad - Helltrack Edition (Released)
Time

A definite step up from previous release. Colors seem more vivid and what is really nice is NO MORE WATERMARK !!!

One thing I did notice though were a few glitches during 'bicycle boogie' and cant remember if those are in the 'Starkiller' version or not, so it may be source or something that occurred during encoding ... ?

30:47 - 30:57 - 31:35

Noticeable but doesn't distract from viewing. Sorta makes you think you are watching 'film' at the theater :)

All around though this turned out great and am glad I finally got to see your version.

A+ from me dude ;)

*Side note*

Got from usenet and not sure if it was just me, but did not get the two extras - DVD_ROM Content and JACKET_P Folder ... ?

I have wondered the same.

Although, this is STARKILLERs thread and CMG just added to it with his own 'preservation'. It's a little sad though to do that and show everyone in this thread, who are probably big fans of the movie, your version and what it will look like only to not release it. I thought this was the purpose of this site and threads like this.

Maybe he will have a change of heart or maybe just not reply anymore and keep it to himself. I know he worked hard on it but so did STARKILLER and he released his.

I doubt this will ever be released officially so I do thank STARKILLER for for releasing his which is awesome. I would have liked to see CMGs copy though as it looked really good.

That menu looks rally nice.Simple and clean.

If I remember correctly, that intro was that way in the theatrical release.I saw it about 5 times when it came out as I raced BMX back then and the whole team would hit up the mall.

I think the HD release produces a bit more than the VHS/BETA ( I had this on BETA ! ) but I never saw it on LD

I all honesty I never really understood why it was like that? It was like 'BMX meets Night of the Comet' type thing LOL ... kinda how every movie has to be in 3D now ... just one of those effects that is popular.

This is just a post to let fans know that Bill Allen and his friend Ethan Terra of Silver Lake Productions are gearing up to get Rad released on DVD officially. They are even in talks to do a sequel.
All info can be read at http://www.myspace.com/theradmovie

The Rad DVD "The Starkiller" created was fantastic. But I think it is time for an official DVD, don't you?

NOTE:
Admins and mods. I hope this is OK to post. Not trying to spam in any way. Just letting the fans of this movie and preservation know that plans of an official DVD are in the works and Bill has set up a Myspace account to gather fans and post updates about the release.

Demonoid is back!

If anyone still has seeding abilities for Demonoid, I'm sure many would appreciate it.

I don't think I can give the links to the DVD's but will give hint.Search is not properly working on the site yet so don't bother.

Idea: an edit of funny outtakes & deleted scenes?
Time
Bringing this back to life........

Been thinking how I want to do this and have a feeling that the simplest way would be best.I see no reason to have any 'frills' on this project.
For the most part I will be using comedy but maybe someone knows of funny outtakes for other genre movies?
If anyone wants to take on DVD cover art, feel free.I have done several but want to concentrate on the DVD.I do have a vision of the "Animal House" type cover though for some reason when I think of this.

Anyway I will be ripping many DVD this week so any suggestions are welcome.

Idea: an edit of funny outtakes & deleted scenes?
Time

Been thinking of this for years and was reminded by my brother recently.
We have always enjoyed deleted scenes from comedy films. We always talked about having a DVD filled with just those from as many funny outtakes as we could think of.
Would this be of any interest “you” if you saw it made?
I will probably do it anyway, but if anyone else thinks this idea could be fun, it would be nice to maybe get some ideas or even film names to use.I don’t yet have any ideas as far as layout or transitions but that may come from someone interested in the idea.

My DVD collection is huge so I have plenty to choose from.

Molly. Not sure if it was you who posted the "request" on youtube but in case it is just coincidence there seems to be a really nice full version that the originator may be able to hand over if asked.
HBO clip

So sad that things like this happen to films like this.I mean, sure my kids have seen this. But they don't get to see what I saw originally and that really sucks. This is why i appreciate all the hard work that goes into these preservations you all do.

I have to apologize,
I think the copy I uploaded was bad.It may have been a copy of a rip from my DVD that was not burned very good.Fact, that DVD wont even play anymore. It wont rip either and if it did it would be bad anyway. My DL version still plays but wont rip.
I just had a bunk burner ( Optiarc AD-7170A ) with crappy media ( Memorex )

Again I apologize for those used up bandwidth to get this upload.

[Get Ready To Break The Ice] - "Rad (1986).part001.rar" yEnc
I guess I forgot that I had backed these up on an external.I went looking for the HD capture of this to make a new version and saw the files....woo hoo !
Going up in a.b.dvdr and will take some time. Please be patient.Average up is 65 K/sec. This is the DVD5 version.
Whoever gets it can load it up on torrent for others who don't use Usenet.I wont do it only because I got tired of leechers bailing on me and having to seed triple the amount.

Big thanks goes to The Starkiller for originally doing this

I much rather use USENET myself but some don't like to pay the fees which is understandable.
I think my problem is a used crap discs ( Memorex ) and the burn was bad on both discs.Funny thing is I cant get my new drive to read the discs but my old ( 3yr old ) drive will read it but there are still problems with the discs ( burn issue? )
Be nice to see then on another tracker and/or usenet again.
