Anyhow...NEW pic of the Joker

There, The Joker reminds me of The Crow.

Yeah a little bit.

I didn't even mind Katie Holmes. It was the first thing I'd bothered to see her in and had blinders on to her whole Tom Cruise soap opera until afterward, so I was offered a wee bit of objectivity as far as she was concerned.

Though I still think Rachel McAdams would have been the best person for the role the first time and for the recast.

Given what a bland character Rachel was, I imagine just about anyone could play the role and the results would be pretty much the same.

Ian McDiarmid's performance in the PT (also the OT) is memorable and absolutely enthralling

Can we at least all agree on that? =D

Cause in my own experience whenever I'm watching the PT or parts of it I'm always looking forward to scenes with Ian McDiarmid as either the chancellor or sith. He definately rises above the given material and creates a character that fascinates endlessly. We can be thankful George Lucas has at least written some pretty to very good dialogue for him to act with! He is very subtle in the first two prequels and in revenge of the sith he really brings all to the table ( is that a good expression? : $)!

'I can feel your anger. It gives you focus. It makes you stronger.'

'Use my knowledge, I beg you.'

'The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.'

'It's ironic he could save others from death, but not himself.' ( definately my favorite line he's uttered throughout the entire saga, heh )

Never cared for McDiarmid to be honest with you. Sure he had some genuine creepiness going for him at times, but he always came off as effeminate & annoying most of the time.

Glover would make an interesting Riddler ... less like Gorshin and Carrey, perhaps more like the comics.

I loved the idea of The Penguin being in it, but not as the DeVito freak show but rather a polished british gentleman. Hoskins would be the shiznit.

I agree. But after seeing what Sam Raimi did with Venom after Venom was basically forced on him, I'd rather they not force the Penguin on Chris Nolan.

Heath Ledger wasn't my first choice for the Joker. I would have gone with someone like Paul Bettany or Crispin Glover, but I'll wait till I see Heath's Joker in action to form an opinion.

I'm sure Crispin Glover thought it was his "density" to play The Joker.

For the record, I think Glover may have also made a very creepy Scarecrow/Jonathan Crane.

Too bad we'll probably never see Catwoman/Selina Kyle in the Nolan Batman films. Halle Berry's fake Catwoman film probably ruined that chance for us.

WHOA!! Man, was I tired yesterday! Poor C. S. Lewis is probably rolling in his grave at my mistake. I am pretty surprised to see I did that, and twice too. Lewis is one of my absolute favorite writers, and old George can't write worth anything, there is nothing to be mixed up about the two. When I wrote that my brain was totally thinking Lewis the whole time, for some stupid reason the message got boggled on the way to my fingers. Sorry about that.

Be grateful that Lucas is not and never will direct Narnia, nor will he ever direct anything outside of his Star Wars prequels.
