Now I know you like winding people up on this site Jimbo, you've just confirmed it with that statement about the ending of T3. How was it emotional? How was it well done? It was absolutely, f***ing shocking, a complete set up for T4.

You make me laugh you annoying little bastard.......

The ending was geneous you annoying little fucker. It was very well done. Certainly alot better then Terminator 2s retarded lowering into the lava. Thats the stupidest ending. If I were John I would have dismantled him and examined him for weaknesses to prepare for the days I would have to fight them. Anything was better then lowering it into the level. Arnolds death scene in Terminator 3 made much more sense. Plus the line "You are Terminated" was very cool as was the T-Xs not me look. She just don't look so pretty without her skin.

ROFLMAO Yes Jimbo, it was 'geneous', it was the best ending I have ever seen.

Frankly I am completely against any changes to the OT that make it fit more easily with the PT. It should be the other way round. Can you imagine how much more credible the PT would be if they actually made it look technologically the same as the OT? I mean you could still use CG but not to the extent where it looks completely like a different set of movies!!! That's what the PT will ALWAYS look like compared to the OT, no matter how many times GL and Co head back to the OT and go 'tweak' crazy. The costumes of the OT is so 70's/80's, the effects are so different, the acting so different, GL will never be able to seamlessly bridge the 2 movies, believe me I have tried, but it just can't happen without filming both series, OT and PT again.

So Captain Courage, I would never wish GL to insert PT stuff into the OT films, it wouldn't work.

How much time did you spend writing this list!

Man you must have some time on your hands!

Some of these changes are just baaaaaaaaaaad Commander Courage and I'm pretty sure most people here on OT.com would NOT welcome these changes as that would defeat the purpose of this site and the whole ethos of why people have rallied around this site in the first place! ie to preserve the ORIGINAL format of the films and as an antidote to Lucas' sticky fingers syndrome. And seeing a lot of thes changes are happening anyway on the Sept DVD's and quite frankly, SUCK DOGS BALLS, I would also like to say, Commander Courage, by name and definitely by nature!

T3 sucked for the following reasons:

(1) No Jim Cameron

(2) it was missing the most integral parts of the first 2 previous movies- T1 being essentially a love story between Sarah and Reese, and T2 the love of Sarah for John, and more importantly the idea of man vs machine. None of this was in T3. It had no 'heart' I guess, just an empty shell of a movie with 2 returning actors and some newer digital effects thrown in for the sake of it.

(3) No Terminator theme! That theme song is one of the most memorable parts of the first 2 films.

(4) The T-X. Give me a break. What a gimmic, the purpose of this was to get 12 year old boys into the theatre to check out her t*ts. "Thanks for the $$$ boys, enjoy the film".

(5) A boring as hell script.

T4 will suck for pretty much all of the above. There's my 2 cents.

Funny that you posted this. Here's a post I made at the AV Science forums just last night:

"Lucas's repeated edits to the trilogy are like Michael Jackson's attempts to fix his bad plastic surgery with even more bad plastic surgery.

If only we could transport both men back in time and show them nothing was really wrong with the original in the first place."

lol thats gold!

Could someone explain for us newbs here, what a Dual Layer set will mean for the OT?

I know most retail DVD's are dual layer and I am assuming they hold more data than single layer DVD-R?

Will I notice a difference between the OT on single layer vs dual layer? If so, I'll hold off on my purchase and grab one in a few months or so!

Who here is working on a dual layer set?

my thoughts on originals vs SE...

I don't mind Boba Fett being in that scene I must say. For me, its the best thing about that scene!

And speaking of Jabba, someone posted a msg on here in another forum with screen captures, comparing the 3 different versions of Jabba (OT, SE and 2004 EE). The new 2004 edition still looks completely different and CG wise, CRAPPY compared to TPM version!!!

WTF is going on? I mean they've redone it to look better than the SE but it doesn't! He looks different not better! Man, its so frustrating! You just want to smack GL and his animators upside the head and say, if you're going to do something, do it properly!

You watch, when the entire 6 DVD box set is re-released, they'll mess with him again, I can feel it, the force is strong in this one.

Like thats all my patience for this circus that has become Star Wars.

Here's my argument as to why I think it is FAR from perfect. I thought it was ok, but definitely not perfect:

Its as simple as this, the Clones, weren't the ones doing the attacking were they? They were coming to the DEFENCE of the Republic because the SEPARATISTS were the ones who were threatening the stability of the Republic. Did you watch the movie mate? Hmmmm.......from what happens in the movie, the film title should have been "Attack of the Separatists".

First of all the Clone Wars is an event in the Star Wars universe. It would be like calling A New Hope the Battle of Yavin.

Yes Jimbo, I do realise the Clone Wars is an event in the Star Wars universe, but you haven't answered my question. The Clone Wars didn't even appear in the movie. Sure we got a battle of sorts, but thats not what the Clone Wars are/were. The Clone Wars are MASSIVE and a series of massive battles fought on many different planets, a series of events, not a single fight between the Geonosians and the Republic/Clone Army that was over in like a few hours! So really, the movie title "Attack of the Clones" still isn't the best title for the film because as I said before, the Clones aren't the ones doing the attacking, the Sepratists are!!!!!

Still waiting on your justification as to why it was the "perfect title", I know you like the movie mate, but that doesn't mean you have to put your hand on your heart and pledge your allegiance to every thing in it, including the title.

Oh for sure, Portman looks damn hot! But I still can't sit through that scene. And the Han and Leia love scenes were soooo much better! More class, less mushy and even funny, "My hands are dirty too, what are you afraid of?" Leagues ahead of ATOC! "I've been dieing a little bit each day since you came back into my life." Pffft, yeah, sure you have, we have been too Padme.
