Idea: Watchmen - an edit...
Time

I thought the film hit a lot of weird beats as a whole. It was almost like watching the story drunk. I would definitely rescore it, most of the musical ques were jarringly bad.  Nixon has gotta go---bad acting, bad makeup, bad , bad , bad. It was the one part of the movie I would say totally took me out of the experience. I would leave the scene with him and Dr.Manhattan because he was slightly out of focus. I also think it would be cool to change the color in some scenes, give the prison rescue sequence a two color-scheme of black and red like the comic. I don't know. I cant wait to play around with this, it will be a fun edit. These are just my petty nitpicks. I did like most of the film. It just needs some tweaking to get it across the finish line.  And I hate what was done to Desolation Row.

Idea: Escape From L.A. - fan edit...
Time
I think I could do the editing, but I won't know till I get my dvd back from a friend to see how easy/hard it will be to mix the sound/other elements. I don't have the ability to change the special effects. I'm just thinking about quick-cutting a lot of the bad effects shots. At this point, the idea is there, and I'm probably going to do it. But I would be interested in other fan edits of it.

Idea: Escape From L.A. - fan edit...
Time

I recently rewatched Escape From L.A. and it is not nearly as good as I remember it. In fact, its quite horrible in a few places. But much of that has to do with the film being rushed. There was only 9 weeks between the time they completed the film and when it was put in theaters. That is a very short post-production time. So I was thinking, if not myself, then someone with very good 3d skills might be able to add some new elements to the film to make it tighter. I would mostly cut out a lot of the dialogue that seemed too cartoonish for a Snake Plissken movie. I might change the color a bit also and definitely the music (save for one or two songs). Heres a tracklist I came up with (rough) that I think would fit with the film.
1. Escape From New York Main Theme
2. Rusty Cage – Soundgarden
3. Sweat —Tool
4. Professional Widow --Tori Amos
5. Sleep Now In The Fire----Rage Against The Machine
6. Brain of J— Pearl Jam
7. Cult of Personality --Living Colour
8. Three Days—Janes Addiction
9. Calm Like a Bomb----Rage Against The Machine
10. The Outsider --A Perfect Circle
11. New Skin—Incubus
12. The Cowboy Song— Faith No More
13. Fell On Black Days— Soundgarden
14. H–TOOL

I would mix the soundtrack so that the music doesn’t drown out the action. Of course, theres a few things that I can’t change, like the basketball court scene. But, that scene is pretty funny so what the hell. Bottom line, I want to change the film so its more in line with Escape from New York (as far as plot is concerned, it already is). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon/Koyaanisqatsi movie I edited together (Released)
Time
I like most of your ideas, but Im pretty happy with the way it turned out. Plus I dont feel like editing this again (although Im very much aware that the fullscreen version has more picture). Also, the stills of the band and live footage of the band were used to make it fit as a kind of 'interactive' feel (as in, this was meant to be like opening the album and seeing all of the pictures and such). Regardless, Im definitely remaking the dvd. The menus are very boring and there are no extra features. I also like Barrett-era Floyd (Jugband Blues), but I still feel that Dark Side of The Moon was their greatest achievement. To each his own.

Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon/Koyaanisqatsi movie I edited together (Released)
Time
Okay, I have decided that Im going to remake the dvd to try to include some special features and a better menu. Among these would be the interviews from 72' found on the Live At Pompeii dvd. Im also planning on including a live concert from April 29,1970, San Francisco called KQED An Hour with Pink Floyd. There will also be easter eggs. When this project is completed I will either find somewhere to host the torrent or will do b&p's. Another idea I had was to include Alan Parsons' quadraphonic mix as an audio option. I will keep everyone posted on when this thing is either done or near completion. I have already created the cover art, all I need to do now is create the menus and encode for a few days. Peace

Pink Floyd Dark Side of The Moon/Koyaanisqatsi movie I edited together (Released)
Time

Hi. I created this about a year ago. Its basically a movie of the album Dark Side of The Moon by Pink Floyd that I edited together from their screen films and ‘Koyaanisqatsi (82)’. I have the only dvd copy of this and would like to share it with anyone interested, probably through a torrent. I posted this on youtube also.

Indiana Jones IV
Time
I think the poster looks awesome. It looks very much like Temple of Doom, but I have a good feeling about this movie. The cast, aside from Shia, who is only so-so, is pretty stellar. I especially love the fact that Ray Winstone is in this movie, he is awesome. And come on, Marion is back! I have a little bit of faith in this one. But if the movie sucks, oh well, I wouldnt be too let down. Right now I'm just happy theres a NEW Indiana Jones adventure awaiting me.

ROTS: Tonight
Time
I'm just happy its coming to an end. I'm done bitching, STAR WARS will always be the greatest film trilogy ever made. Though I'm not huge on the prequels, I could care less because I have the original orignal trilogy on dvd and thats all I need. I dont care about hi-def or digital or director's cut or special ultra deluxe super duper collector's editions, the originals will always exist in my memory and in my dvd library. The previews have shown me a lot of promise and I look forward to seeing the final installment, whether good or bad.

Now on to the midnight show!
