Amadeus - Theatrical Cut Restoration 1080p (V3 Now Available)

I did a comparison in Virtual Dub of the 3 versions I have, my Z2 retail, a Z1 rip I found, your V2 restore.

I took a scene every 10000 frames and looked what the actual start frame was on each version

So you see the Z1 and Z2 version are in sync ( there is a 168 frames jump at a moment but I checked and the Z1 has a 168 frame black scene).

But your version slowly drifts from -3 (initial offset) to -85.This can't be corrected by just editing 2 scenes, and unfortunately will prevent adding foreign language tracks and subtitle tracks to your version to built the ultimate "all version" like the Harmy Star Wars edit.

Still, I aknowledge the hard work it must have been to edit the movie scene by scene, and perfectly understand if you want to keep it as it is. Even if it means I'll have to continue watching my awful PAL DVD ;-)

Thanks!

Hi,

Unfortinately I can't get it to sync correctly in French, I'm off 3-4 seconds at the end.

I checked with 2 test scenes in virtual dub

first one "the horse" in the beginning

last one "the chair" after we see the guy in the cage

first source : my PAL DVD

horse : 905    chair : 221982  diff : 221077

second source : PAL Divx found somewhere

horse  : 898 chair 221975  diff : 221077

third source : mkv Z1 "dvdrip westdenco"

horse : 897 chair 222142 diff 221245

4th source : V2 official version

horse : 902 chair 221897 diff 220995

So it's hard to get sync when there are so many "theatrical" versions..

I'll try to timestretch to fit in but clearly there are not the same number of pictures...
