So they botched the bluray of this one?
Botched isn’t the right term. It’s more of a case of the transfer looking dated, similar to the early blu ray transfers of 2001 and The Shining compared to their recent 4K counterparts.

I changed the name from original edition to lightspeed edition. I was doing the SE VHS restoration for one of the sources for my lightspeed edition (SE restoration is canceled).
Okay, you know what. This project is canceled due to people saying there are HD TV broadcasts of this. However I am starting a new project.

I am doing a Star Wars VHS restoration called the First Release edition.
I'm upscaling the footage so, it will look good for a source for my star wars lightspeed edition (which I am taking a break from).

I am using RCA USB Cables,a VCR, and a VHS to DVD program called "Golden Videos". I record the VHS footage on to a DVD (I only turn the Blu-Ray to 1080p HD by using "VideoPad" Video Editor to render it so, it can be played in 1080p HD. Then, I burn it onto a Blu-Ray Disc by using a Blu-Ray burner.). Then, I use "ImgBurn" to turn the DVD/Blu-Ray footage into an ISO.
All I do is transfer the VHS footage to DVD and Blu Ray. I am also, upscale it to 1080p HD.
okay, what is good about this is it is a dvd file so, people who grew up with the 1997 special edition can have it on DVD (if they want).
I'm only doing this because I got the idea while recording the vhs tapes for my lightspeed edition. Adywan did (mainly) the same thing and nobody complained so, why can't I do something special edition related too?
I am making a star wars SE restoration of the full screen and widescreen VHS of the 1997 special edition (which is the version I grew up with.)
