Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Harmy,

If you're interested, I figured out how to extract the chapter timestamps from the GOUT DVDs and convert them into a playlist file that can replace the ones in the DEs. This allows you to skip to the more logical chapters present in the GOUT as opposed to the current, 5-minute increments. PM me if you like, and I can send you the files.

Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers

Thanks!

That logo takes the place of the barcode, similar to the way comic book companies replace (or used to anyway) the barcode with a picture on direct editions.

Example:

I may keep it the same on all three, replace it with a barcode, or come up with something a little different for each-- haven't decided. I really appreciate the feedback!

Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers

Hey folks,

I, too, have been inspired by Harmy's despecs to create some cover art. These are the first movie covers I have put together, but I am enjoying it and think they are coming along well.

Like EyeShotFirst, I am using the older artwork (always my favorite), but with slightly different takes (framing, color balance, banners, etc.). I used color corrected lightsabers more accurate for the films. ROTJ was already done in the source image, and the SW77 one I did. All of the poster images came from the Hi-Res Cover Art thread, and the screenshots I took straight from Harmy's edits in VLC.

For the spines, I went more with a 2006 DVD look. You can't tell, but the sequels use a font called "Episode I" with "Depecialized Edition" below in the same typeface as on SW77.

They are not quite done, as I have to do the backs and write the copy for TESB and ROTJ and finish the specs, credits, and fine print for all three, but they should be finished soon.

As these are my first covers, feedback is appreciated.

Imandix Cover Pro help
Time

After fiddling with it for a while, I was able to make a custom object with the right dimensions, but it does not have the extra blue plastic at the top like a normal case; it is just the cover area with a small outline.

This is beta, obviously, and I think the collections portion could be fleshed out more. There is also no option to adjust the lighting, and if you rotate one of the objects to show the reverse, it is very dark. Perhaps these issues will be corrected with future releases.

Imandix Cover Pro help

Hey, folks -

I bought Imandix Cover Pro, and whenever I add files for a collection, it shows the covers as solid black. Probably just a setting, but I can't seem to get it figured out. Single case projects seem to work fine. Sorry if this is not the place for this, but help for this program is scarce, so any guidance is appreciated.

Screenshot of the problem:

EDIT: I figured out that it thinks that the Blu Ray cases are not valid for collections. Anyone else have this problem? Until this is fixed, I can just export the single PNGs and superimpose them, I suppose.

Thanks for the reply.

I guess I had it in my head after watching the YouTube clip that the ships were still in there. I just rewatched it, and saw they were indeed gone already. Your new matte is a definite improvement. The shade of blue does not bother me nearly as much as the ships flying around. Thanks again for your work and for taking the time to get back to me, and sorry for the confusion.

Is there a list somewhere of the stuff you're planning to do for 2.0? I'm a little late to the party.

P.S.- In addition to your awesome edits, it is also awesome that you are so accessible for questions. Thank you.

Harmy,

Thank you so much for all of the hard work. Your versions almost brought tears to my eyes the first time I watched them. I have been looking for something like this for literally years.

You probably know this already, but I wanted to tell you I noticed (after seeing it pointed out in some YouTube comments) some SE effects at about 51:23, just after the door-knock scene. While Ben and Luke sell the speeder, birds can be seen flying around in the background through the archway. In the original version, this is just a solid blue area.

This may already be on a list of fixes somewhere, but I couldn't find one, so I apologize. If such a list exists, I'd be thankful if you could point me to it so I don't bother you needlessly again.

Thanks again, and take care.
