The "ADigitalMan Special Editions" DVD Info and Feedback Thread (Released)
Time
Just wanted to leave my feedback on the Prequels I've seen so far. I'm to the point where Kenobi and Skywalker have there final duel in Episode III. I must say, job well done ADM. The editing isn't bad at all, and the stories flow together. I like that you removed a lot of the silliness, but left enough humor in to keep us entertained. I don't really get why it was necessary to keep Padme queen, but it really didn't take away from the Plot or add to it, for me, at least.

I do have one plot issue that is kind of crawling up my skin. You removed the midichlorians, and I understand why, but now we're left with an immaculate conception that just happened. This just doesn't sit right with me. Even with Jesus, you know that the Holy Spirit had something to do with the Virgin Mary becoming pregnant. If you ever do a 2.0 of "A Vergence in the Force" please remove this reference, as well. If you cut after Qui-Gon says, "The force is unusually strong with him, that much is clear." Then pick it back up when Anakin's mother says, "Can you help him?" You'll end up with a clean edit, and it it doesn't mess with the story line at all, cause it wasn't established in the OT that Vader didn't have a father, nor was it mentioned anywhere else in the prequels.

Oh, the dream sequence in "Path to the Darkside" looks unnatural....It doesn't mesh with the other dream sequences in the rest of the prequels. I think maybe in this case, it would have been the lesser evil to leave it and bear the anguish of Anakin appearing to jerk off.

Otherwise awesome job. I may try my hand at editing, at least the one scene with the immaculate conception, just to see if I can do it. Well, I'm off to watch the rest of III, and the OT.

Hey all!!!!!

Wondering if anyone would be willing send me copies of the DL versions of ADM's Eps. I, II, and III. I will be willing to PIF it along, as a matter of fact, I have a couple of people in line already, as soon as I get them. Optionally, I would like to have the DL versions of ADM's Eps. IV, V, and VI, if anyone can spare them, just to round out the series. Again, I'll be more than willing to PIF them. I already have the Clone Wars cartoon. Thanks in advance.

Oh, a little off topic, but if you haven't already, get ADM's Pearl Harbor edit.......top notch.

It's been awhile, but I have a request, or two, or 7.

I'm starting to gain interest in the fan edits of movies, especially Star Wars, specifically ADM's (I'm currently getting his Pearl Harbor edit through the torrent, I hear it's excellent.) Anyhow, Could you post ADigitalMan's Ep. 1 through 3 for me, to include his edit of the Clone Wars cartoon? I would also like his edits of the OT, but that can wait. Thanks a lot.

I was just getting ready to post to see how far along you were. I for one would like a copy of your DVD9 NTSC ROTJ. I'd like to have a complete set from one source. I chose your set cause of the reviews it was getting here. So please complete your trilogy, or I'll be lost.

Hi all.

I just wanted to comment on something that is mention in this thread. A couple of people have commented on the changes in the 2004 set, compared with the OT and 97 SE's, that went too far, specifically the emperor. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Ian McD originally play the emperor in "Return of the Jedi"? I know it was a different person in "The Empire Strikes Back" (I believe it was an old woman, with Clive Revill's voice.) I don't think that this was a change that went too far since Ian was in the original theatrical release of ROTJ. In fact, I think it was the best thing he could've done to keep the continuity intact.

Hi all, Need help with editing VOB file
Time
It seems that the simplest thing to me is turning out to be the most nerve racking. I'm trying to edit out the 4 second gap on TR47's ESB (which by the way is awesome, Cowclops.) I can't seem to find a freeware or shareware program that will allow me to do this without converting the Vob files. I'm willing to bet that products like Ulead DVD Moviefactory, and Adobe's Encore do this with ease. Is there an easy method to doing this, without having to spend my lifesavings? I've tried DVD-lab, and Mpeg Video Wizard to no avail. I know the answer is right in front of my face.

Help me Obi-Won Kenobi, you're my only hope.

Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side (the TM edit) (Released)
Time
Hello all,
I joined this forum cause this thread struck me as funny. Here we are signing a petition to bring back the original theatrical release of the original movies to DVD. The reason most of are signing this petition is because we don't care for Lucas's new vision of SW, (well, some of us do, including me,) or we prefer Lucas's original vision. Yet, here we are encouaging someone to do exactly the same thing Lucas did to the original movies, somewhat of a double standard if you ask me.

So what if the acting is a little lame or weak, NEWS FLASH....the acting has been weak in all the movies. Lucas uses little known actors save one or two. These actors have little experiance taking on leading roles. What makes these movies great is that despite the acting, the action makes up for it. In my opinion, it wouldn't be Star Wars with out the bad dialogue, or acting.
