Star Wars coming to Blu Ray (UPDATE: August 30 2011, No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!)
Time

It is pretty entertaining.  It is like a Lucasfilm version of "This is Spinal Tap."

Someone said they didn't know of anyone who did not want the UOT released...

Then Shaft said "I don't"

I replied..  "He meant anyone that mattered"

apparently that was over the line. :)

New "Superman" actor announced!

I am glad they are going in a different direction with this.  Trying to imitate CR was a bad idea... not to mention trying to imitate the original was an even worse idea.  If I thought I was going to hear a rehash of how flying is the safest form of transportation, statistically speaking, I'd have to skip this one.

This needs to be a character driven movie, not action driven.  I'd like to see another origin movie but I would understand why they wouldn't want to.  I guess all we can do is wait and see.

So much emphasis in the prequels was complexity and an exaggerated imagination instead of a character driven storyline.  To me what made SW so visually fascinating was the simplicity of it all, basically the complete opposite of what the prequels brought.  It would be amazing to have a version that dumbed down the complexity and needless fanciness.

X-wings, tie fighters, the Falcon... very simple... what the hell is that bug helicopter crap?

Love the force push idea!  I always hated Ani wanting to do right by the Jedi by sending Palps to trial in one breath, then pledge his allegiance to the sith in the next.  Not to mention Mace stepping out of the Jedi rulebook and play executioner.  What if Mace had succeeded?  "I am a BAMF and this Empire is MINE!!!" :)

I would think by now Ani had already made his decision if the previous confrontation with Palps was more of a "you have a choice to make" type situation.  That way in the Mace scene it is simply obvious what that decision was.

His turn, I think, should be equally based off of the "power" he would gain rather than just saving Padme.  He always cried about being held back... here is an opportunity where he can be fully appreciated, and moulded into who he has always wanted to be.

Bob, notice Obi has two sabers as he goes aboard the ship.  One holstered, the other in his hand.  Don't know if that has already been addressed.

Really? I've never noticed that. To be honest, how can you see? He's such a small blur when he hops on Padme's ship.

After the duel?  It's pretty obvious if you are looking for it.  It is as he walks on board the ship with R2 and 3PO.

Padme could have it laying by her as Obi approaches her after the duel?  He could be reaching for his saber rather than touching her shoulder.  His look afterwards would fit well... just an idea.

Here's a thought:

If Sidious gives Anakin his new Sith saber, maybe we can assume Anakin just keeps both. But the old blue one stays out of sight until the very end of the Mustafar battle.

Right before Anakin says "you underestimate my power", there's a wide shot of him standing on the floating platform. If you reverse the sequence of these 2 shots, in the wide shot you can then add an ignition of his blue saber in his left hand - so he'll have a saber in each hand. He'll make the jump with both sabers and will drop both when Obi Wan cuts him down. When Obi Wan picks up the blue saber, you can even rotoscope in the red saber sitting nearby. (Maybe that can be a symbol of Obi Wan clinging to the good side of Anakin while rejecting the bad).

Now THAT is a potentially great idea. And very symbolic =D

I'd have her say..."Give this to my baby from his father in case you kill him and I lose my will to live" :)
