OK... what if somehow it were edited that he had his "ANH" saber the whole time? Maybe reveal it by igniting it right before his last leap with 2 sabers, and Obi picks it up on the rocks?

Not bad. That allows for his saber to be red during the duel, but lets Obi Wan still retrieve the blue ANH one.

Definetly the best idea I've seen so far regarding the issue, and also the most realistic. It also adds a little danger and surprise to Anakin's seemingly suicidal jump.

There is also a little depth behind the idea.  If he has 2 sabers the whole time and he only uses one it shows his cockiness.  Then you can keep the "You can't win, I have the higher ground" / "you underestimate my power" lines as a way... OK, now you pissed me off, buzz, jump, oh wait... slice... FAIL.  Seems kinda cool.  LOL!

Obi does not need to be cheapened by feeling he needs extra lightsabers to defeat an edited asthma droid.  That would also open up the chosen one having no faith in his master.

Enough of the GL bashing. Seriously is that all some of you do? If it was not for GL their would not be anything star wars. After all he is the one created the whole saga. We need to at least respect the fact he did made these films and not bash him everytime he makes a change to the films. But everyone has a right to their opinion about the changes to the films some like them some don't.

GL bashing?  Drama queen much?

This whole site was created out of the frustration of changes made to a once cinematic masterpiece.  Being angry at that change is who we are.  Pouting out your opinion, and expecting us to be quiet about ours is not going to happen.

I'll say this again... If you truly love something you would not want it changed.

Wait, now we're angry that they are making more changes?   Boy, I can't keep up with what is an acceptable change and what isn't.

Oh, c'mon... that's the old "nobody will ever be satisfied" straw man.  It's really quite easy: in the absence of a decent release of the theatrical version, the only acceptable changes would be those that UNDO the changes that have been made between 1983 and 2006.

My only point was that people seemed quick to jump on the new Wicket eyes, but when Ady does it (or Yoda gets replaced wholesale) it's mostly embraced.

For the record (not that there is one) I'm no Lucas apologist, but I'm not one to brand every move he makes heresy either.

The easy answer is... more to de-specialize.

Adywan is touching up a duplicate print, George is pissing on the original canvas.

Thanks!  To me simplicity is key.  I don't try to make them look retail because they're not.  Also, I am used to a lot of my work being customized for edits anyway.  Plenty of room for any editor to add what they may.

On that note;  Because I only have interest in the first film, I altered your cover slightly.  If they were to ever release the 1977 version on BR, this would be fine for me.

One thing I really don't care for is the insistence by case manufacturers that all BR cases be translucent blue.  That seems weird to me and I expect it will be a dated practice eventually.

Personally, my DVDs and BRs are in a book case - along with books.  I don't care to have a bunch of shorter pieces of iMac blue plastic in there.  That's one of the reasons I dig your leather design.  It also goes well with my Indiana Jones and LOTR sets.

When I finally get some spare time, I'll be moving my small collection of BRs into black DVD cases anyway.  Because overall my movie collection is getting to be too large for me aesthetically -  I don't care to have a Wall-O-Discs -  I'll probably start marrying them into bulk holders (all 007, all Indiana Jones, all Christmas films, etc).

That black case rocks!  I did not even know they existed.  Good to know.

OK...  I have been working on these as replacement covers since the others suck so bad.   I tried for something iconic for the prequels since nothing really exists comparable to the Original trilogy.  I'll have to do a third for the extras and possibly a slip case.  I am just wanting some feedback.  These will be 3 disk cases and will house each trilogy separately.  The bottom one would be for any OOT project current or future.  Thoughts?
