Star Wars ROTJ beta v2.0 now completed. (Released)
Time

Sorry to Necrobump, I had this downloaded a long time ago but unfortunately my editing Hard Drive got damaged during a move and I lost all my files. I’m currently getting back into editing/working on a Return of the Jedi edit and I’d really like to use this as the base again. If anyone has this and is able to share please shoot me a PM. Thanks!

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW
Time

Hi everyone,

I was wondering does anyone happen to have the High-Bitrate clip/video of Adywan’s Emperor: Revisited “Proper final version”? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0q0CF5Y1cI (It should be titled emperor_revisited_proper_emperor.mkv)

I only ask as it seems that Hotfile (The website that Adywan originally uploaded the High-Bitrate version of this clip has gone defunct.)

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who has the file could upload it again or PM it to me. Thanks!

If it’s between the Russian Version and the Original English Version. My vote’s for the Russian Version. (If The Japanese Audio was still in the Running I’d vote for it in an instant) But between the Russian and English Version I like the Russian VO’s Delivery a bit Better than James Earl Jones’s and don’t get me Wrong I love James Earl Jones but Lucasfilm only gave him a Day to shoot/record all of his lines. Which I believe resulted in the Poor/Cheesy Delivery of NOO!!! (Also I personally think James Earl Jones was a little out of Practice voicing Vader cause I’ve been watching Rebels and while his VO for Vader sounds right but there’s just something off for me, but he’s slowly changing and getting back into it as the episode go on.) Also I personally showed my version with the Japanese Audio to a group of my Friends and told them that it was remastered and that James Earl Jones had come back to re-record his audio for it and, they loved it saying the Emotion behind the new Scream completely changed the context of the scene etc.

I already tweaked and played with the Pitch on the Japanese Version as far as it would let me without affecting the music. I also did a couple more tweaks to try to make it sound a bit more like James Earl Jones. But we also have to remember that Darth Vader is still very young and that his voice didn’t get, “deeper” until later, he has at least 18 years until A New Hope and even then his voice didn’t become, “Traditional Vader deep” until Empire Strikes Back (A Fact that Adywan fixed/pointed out with his A New Hope Revisited) where it stayed the same through Return of the Jedi. Vader also goes through a couple of suits/helmets sometimes getting it repaired and sometimes replacing various pieces he also preforms various tweaks and upgrades on his Armor throughout the years as well.

I like Both the Japanese and Russian versions personally. The Russian version’s like a Mixture of Hayden Christensen and James Earl Jones which is awesome! and The Japanese version is raw and powerful which makes the scene something completely new! Also to save anyone the trouble of looking through the rest of the Language Dubs, for the past couple of weeks in preparation for my own Revenge of the Sith edit, I’ve gone through every single Available Language version of Revenge of the Sith and the only two which didn’t use NO!!! and sounded close enough to James Earl Jones were the Russian version and Japanese version. Ultimately It’s up to Hal9000 to choose the one he wants though.

Hi, I’m glad people like the clip. The reason for the Volume Level Change is because I used your Revenge of the Sith edit’s video/audio edited with the Japanese BluRay audio. But unfortunately due to the BluRay’s 6.1 DTS mix it’s is a little Louder and has more Power then your edit so You can hear the volume change when they are put together. I’ll keep trying to smooth out the Transition. The clip is my last Beta (I was regrading the video and morphing the Japanese audio to fit James Earl Jones’s voice/tone a bit more etc.) before I do the Ultimate Final render which should sound better. For me personally I like the Scream/Yell better than NO!!! is because it has Anakin fighting with the Vocabulator/Vocoder in his helmet as he utters a guttural scream/yell of Anger, Agony, and Anguish as he realizes that all of his hopes, and dreams are destroyed and that the Emperor played/tricked him into doing the very thing he promised, and threw away everything to stop/save Padme from. Filled with hate, and consumed fully by the Darkside Darth Vader is born. It’s the perfect replacement for the old cheesy version and for me at least you can actually hear where Anakin Skywalker ceases to exist/dies and is replaced by, “The More Machine then Man” Darth Vader.

Hey Hal 9000,

I'm a Big Fan of your edits. I saw that you said that DrDre recently up-scaled the Prequel Deleted Scenes and that you used them to replace your old V3 deleted scenes in your V4 edit. I'm currently working on a Prequel Trilogy Edit in my spare time and I'd love to have those Up-scaled deleted scenes so I can utilize them. Is it possible you can point me to where you got them. Thanks!

Adywan isn't doing that (thank god). That was an idea and mock-up by TELECINE 7. His mock up looked fairly good though. Guess it wouldn't be too hard for him to do in his edit if he wanted to.

Ah I see, It's a cool concept though (even when I was very young I always thought that the Debris was Luke's Hand and Lightsaber)

CommandBenAs you know I already did a Beta of ROTJ, I do not have any immediate plans to do anything further because of a lack of time in my personal life.

With that said, there are a few additional things l would like to update time permitting but my main focus is trying to improve SW ep IV. This one is one of the hardest ones to work on and I already privately spoke with ADYWAN (PM) offering my assistance with his HD version of revisited. He agreed but he said it will be some time before he can get around to recreating his original vision of IV revised.

Right now I am working on the basics of episode IV, (Vader chest plate lights) (mask for Vader's eyes) Laser replacement, light saber replacement ect. Plus the same type of work like I did on EP V, and VI..

Also some of the original Laser blast that were drawn in by team George Lucas were poorly done as they lacked proper perspective. This of coarse was 1978 so it was understandable at the time, so I am frame by frame "REPLACING" not re-scoping those effects. This is a detailed and very time consuming process because it involves cloning video information from other film frames for the removal process. Once done they will be re-animated and will reflect VFX for a more modern 2015 Star Wars universe.

I am also attempting the same process for some of Luke's Light saber sequences (remove the original) replace with the new. Some shots are simply near impossible to do this, others are not.

So I plan on releasing a beta hopefully before this Christmas with the above changes, and then next year a more detailed edit, with sound and audio changes. (replacing the audio of the laser blasts and replacing the audio effects with the same sound type, but more dynamic range. Most of which I am going to source from the vast existing SW sound library's out there. (5.1 mix)

There will be welcomed changes like Han shooting first ect, and the deletion of the Jabba scene. But over all my focus will be to just concentrate on the above mentioned effects, it will be much more conservative than all the changes that ANDWAN did with his revisited release.

Thanks for the interest, I appreciate the support, I will upload a clip soon of a finished sequence, hopefully if will spark some interest in this project.

Okay Thanks, It looks great!

Hey xxtelecine 7xx,

I really love your additions and your changes! Are you considering adding anything else to your Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi edits like Adywan is doing but with your own personal flair to it? Changes and Additions like (Enhancing the Asteroid Chase, Making the Debris that falls with Luke out of the Bespin Exhaust Pipe look like Luke's Hand, Enhancing the Environments, Updating HUD of the Hoth Snowspeeders and the Falcon, Making the Space Battle at the end of Return of the Jedi look better etc.) Because I love seeing these films "properly" improved with updated special effects and new additions.

Plus, after all the years he (and his team) has dedicated to this project, why would he ever put out anything less than his final, ideal version? It would just lead to a mess--the near-finished cut would most likely spread around teh interwebz and probably get confused for the final cut for quite some time, perhaps indefinitely. After, once it's out there, it can't be taken back. It's better for him just to wait and put out one version.

Yeah, I guess your right. I just wanted a beta version for personal use not to leak it on the internet, because I was going to watch the entire "perfected" Star Wars Saga before I go to Celebration Anaheim. Which consists of Hal9000's Prequels, Adywan's A New Hope Revisited, and Q2's Return of the Jedi Hybrid edit all I'm missing is the perfect Empire edit which essentially is Adywan's The Empire Strikes Back Revisited. *Sigh* I guess I've waited 4 years I can wait a little bit more. Thanks for replying! and Thanks to Adywan and his team for all the Hard Work!
