Apologies if this has been mentioned/heavily discussed before but wouldn't it be cool if the reason for Anakin's downfall could be that Padme actually died in that explosion in AOTC instead of her decoy? So the premonitions Anakin is having are actually of that.

Its a much less stupid way for her to die and Anakin has some motivation given that there was actually someone responsible for her death.

Probably impossible to do because Luke and Leia would have to be born first and other such plotholes.

I would probably have a go at this if I knew what I was doing, perhaps a 3 in 1 edit with some stuff from the OT to pad things out might work somehow.

Loving the edit, don't post much on the forums but getting interested in alot of edits currently in the works.

Just noticed while watching the commentary that when Adm. Ackbar says "concentrate all fire on that super star destroyer" he actually says "superstar destroyer".

Amused me way too much.

You said you were having trouble with the podracer sequence.  You could try and incorporate shots from the intro movie for the Episode I racer game.

What do you reckon about a thin lined cursive text and the light shining through that?  I feel that holds more in the line with the feeling of the trailer.

Obviously I'm not a prolific poster on here, I think I've posted twice, but, In response to Angel's comments on making the PT more OT, I think about one of the original inspirations for the space battles for the OT.  That being real life dogfights.

The PT seems to have more of a free form camera ducking and diving into areas where a camera mounted on another fighter could not feasibly get access to.

In many shots this is probably impossible to eliminate (hell I'm no editor) but IMO the relatively realistic nature of the space battles (albeit in space and not in the air) drew me into the drama.

Make of these comments what you will.

Bob, with a little clairvoyance, the meeting with Lucas in the Gents could have been quite hilarious had you made reference to the smell from outside the door compared to inside... "And I thought they smelled bad on the outside"... lol.  He'd probably have punched you though.

I have to agree with rpvee that the colours do look washed out in these videos.  However I am aware that these are only tests thus far anyway so being too critical at this stage is pointless.

There is a sheen to the prequel trilogy that is very irritating, I mean are the floors, walls, ships, droids, faces, haircuts (did I miss anything?) polished around the clock?  In my opinion this seems to be due to the overuse of green screen and CG effects for backgrounds rather than using actual sets.  You can see this difference between TPM (more use of actual sets) and AOTC / ROTS (heavy use of green screen).  Phantom had its flaws, like the others, but I think it portrayed the universe, stylistically speaking, in a more convincing way.

Getting to the point...I think changing the visuals to closer match the original trilogy is a good idea but I'm not sure if it will be all that convincing in the long run.  I hope Bob can prove otherwise of course.

The crux of the matter is that ultimately its Bobs choice and what he decides to do in the end is gospel.

Not my big problem no, i'm sure the vast majority of those have been covered in this thread alone. 

It's just an horrendously awful moment I'd never noticed before. Made me choke on my Admiral Ackbar cereal!  

Moments such as these, whilst not being big problems in themselves regarding the story, do have quite a detrimental effect on the movie; they just pull you out of the experience for nothing more than a worthless gag that I doubt even my 2 year old nephew would find funny.  I'm sure you would agree.

Thought i'd register as I've been following this for a quite a while now and have enjoyed a lot of the work and discussion going on.

I cant remember if this has been covered but my mind needs put to rest after watching Spence's edit of ROTS.  Just after the ship breaks in half when Anakin is trying to land, R2 lets out a sequence of beeps that sound like he's saying "uh oh".  They may as well have had a drum riff straight after it to accentuate the punchline.  It nearly made me sick.

Please say you have removed this!
