I just watched 'Robocop' for the first time. I always made the assumption that it was cheesy solely based on the costume. But it was freakin awesome. The first 10 minutes and the last 20 worked the best for me. I don't like completely invincible characters. no suspense. But I was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't laughing at its ridiculousness the whole movie like I thought I would.

7/10 balls.

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2'

I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm 16. I grew up with these books and these films. That said, I didn't even think about most of the film. It was a purely emotional experience. And at the end, knowing that this is the end. No more books, no more films. I got a little misty eyed.

10/10 balls

(I feel happy of myself for not making the obvious joke. Thumbs up for rock and roll.)

V for vendetta: I've never read the comics, I thought it was a great film. 7 out of 10 balls.

Watchmen: I have read the comic and saw this in the theatre. I love both. Some line deliveries are strange but overall its a great movie. (I know a lot of people don't agree with me on this) 8.5 out of 10 balls

My channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/bloodnoseThePirate?feature=mhee

But, I've taught my dad how Final Cut works and he's hi-jacked my entire channel. He chose the songs and video clips. I couldn't care less about sports but I guess you can observe some of my editing skillz.

I did all of the editing in this montage of biking injury (I hate the song):

most of this bike... thing:

and this is a trailer/sample type thing from my failed clone wars fan edit. (I don't have the full version anymore)

I may make my dad his own channel or have to make myself a new one. Although I am pretty proud of my favorites list.

Watched movies pretty much all last night and today.

'Iron Man 2': 5 of 10 balls. It was entertaining. A couple of big problems. Just shut off your brain.

'Ip Man': 7 of 10 balls. At first I thought it was going to be a cheesy kung fu movie but about 20 minutes in Sh!t gets real.

I FINALLY got around  to seeing 'Pulp Fiction' I think the fact that it has been built up throughout pretty much my whole life (It came out the year I was born) took away from my enjoyment. I was expecting... more. But if I forget all that I've heard about it and think of it for what it was. I really liked a lot of the conversations that they were having as a lot of these things have passed through my mind. I think my favorite segment was Uma Thurman's "date" I didn't really feel anything with the boxer guys scenes although I did get kind of nauseous during that ONE scene. Which is saying something. I almost never get those reactions from a movie. I didn't enjoy It. It makes me not want to see it again. Its still hard to say what I thought of the film altogether. It was bizarre and gross, but thoroughly entertaining.

I'm gonna say 8 out of 10 balls. But that may change in 10 minutes.

Then I watched 'From Dusk Till Dawn' I really loved this. Until they got to the vampire bar. It abruptly changed genres. Which I suppose was the point but the whole feeling of the movie changed with it. Everything was suddenly 10 times bigger which made me care that much less about everything. I still liked it but it was like a slightly less entertaining movie started but I still wanted to see the end of the other one.

7 out of 10 balls.

Edit: Oh yeah I also watched 'Digimon: The Movie' another for "Nostalgia(?)" Actually if you can get past the silly names, the fact that they have to yell out the names of the attacks that theyre doing and some silly logic, its an awesome animated movie. I enjoyed this much more than the power rangers movie. I was a couple years older when this came out and I remembered much more of it. The animation is awesome, the jokes are funny for the most part, story is pretty good and the soundtrack is great. a genuinely good movie that I liked when I was a kid. I think I'm going to have to give it two scores. one for my enjoyment and one for how I think people who didn't grow up with it would enjoy it.

Me: 7.5 of 10     Others: 5 of 10

I watched a few movies over the weekend:

'Welcome to macintosh' A documentary on apple. It was interesting if you own a mac but it wasn't great.

3 of 5 balls

'Transcendent Man' Very thought provoking.I don't think it will happen in the time the guy says but still a must watch.

5 of 5 balls

'The Stranger' with Orson Welles. The first in my new Film Noir kick. I liked it a lot better than I expected.

I watched the first two episodes of 'Falling Skies'

I had mixed feelings while watching this. unfortunately most of them were bad.

During the two hours I went from feeling that it just wasn't my thing to being bored to being annoyed to actively hating it to being intrigued for about 30 seconds then to just giving up on the show altogether

The acting and relationships were very generic and the plot was predictable. It never felt like they were actually at war. There was never any emotion and when they tried to throw in an emotional scene it was just a big product placement. My palm was literally in my face.

At the beginning of the second episode there was a conversation about why the alien mechs were bipedal when they themselves had more than two legs. I found that interesting. Unfortunately they dropped it after 30 seconds and never mentioned it again.

The stupidity of a certain child character who blew their cover to save his dog (is that cliche yet?) made me so angry that I was hoping that the mechs would shoot him.

I didn't mean to get so negative on it. Uh, the CGI is pretty... Unfortunately theres not even enough action to be a show that you turn your brain off to watch.

I can't see this running for very long. Looks like another failed sci-fi series so far. I had high hopes for this after seeing the trailers all over the place. They just can't seem to get television sci-fi right lately.

The Power Rangers movie. I watched it on Netflix instant purely for nostalgia and was pleasantly surprised. It was consistently laughably awful. It is a must watch.

You're not old enough to experience nostalgia.

I agree with this.

When I typed this I contemplated mentioning that I wasn't sure if it was in fact nostalgia but thought that it would make my mini-review not so mini.

I definitely felt something like a warm feeling that took me back to my childhood. (or my child-erhood). Especially when the line "You ooze, you lose" came up. I'm not sure how but I remembered that line and I have an awful memory.
