The Official Greencapt 'Batman & Robin: De-Assified' Edit thread (Released)
Time
So I finished watching it... it had both it's pros and cons.

Pros
-Darker
-Mr. Freeze seemed scary
-less nipples, ass shots, the obvious
-Watchable

Cons
-Some rough transitions
-Plot Holes
-Little or no character development

The edit didn't explain the "love" triangle between Ivy, Batman, and Robin. Which I am sure you are aware of. Batgirl, or whoever she is, is only in the movie for a max of 3-5 minutes... why not cut her out completly? It is like "Hello" and next thing you know she is batgirl. Still a few one liners from freeze. And where did Alfred go? Why was he only on a screen Alfred is always at the mansion. I know the flick can't be perfect seeing what you have to work with, but I feel as if there still could be improvements.

Well boon, when you put it like *that*...

Having finally brushed aside *most* of my other obligations I think its now time to clean out the hard drive and start looking at the next project to do... of course after ADM's great work there may not be any films left untouched. Maybe 'Gigli'... lol

Not sure yet really though. Not to be stuck in the 'Batman' groove I still need to sit down and check out the extras and stuff on the new 'Batman Anthology' set as I'd told a couple folks I might do 'Batman Forever' next. But that said I'm gonna browse through my DVD shelves and see what else might strike me. I'll be posting any updates here for sure!

Help: looking for... Some help putting this together - a Marvel comic film collection
Time
Okay I have compiled a list of guidelines and I have found a list of ALL comic book movies... I am just needing some help to set the ones I am looking for (based on guidelines given) in their own group of movies.

1. American
2. Live-Action, no animation
3. Action, meaning no comedies
3. Just Movies, no TV series/shows
4. Taken from Comics, but with a Hero
5. Nothing Before 1978
6. Must be on DVD
7. Major Realeases, no straight to video BS

The complete list can be found here... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...on_comic_books but I am not familar with every one of these movies/comics so that is why I need help finishing the list up. Any help is appreciated.

Cover Art Requests.
Time
I downloaded Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume 1 (2003-2004) from MySpleen not to long ago and I seemed to have misplaced the cover art... I was wondering if anyone had any custom or any cover-art that came with the MySpleen release?

Also... I am currently looking for the Star Wars Trilogy: Bonus Material (2004)...

+ Empire of Dreams: The Story of the Star Wars Saga (Documentary) (2004)
+ Birth of the Lightsaber, The (Documentary) (2004)
+ Characters of 'Star Wars', The (Documentary) (2004)
+ Force Is with Them: The Legacy of 'Star Wars', The (Documentary) (2004)

...cover-art as well. I would prefer the real deal, but whatever you can find is fine.

ALSO... let's see... Harvey Birdman Season one cover-art would be nice too!!

What DVDs should I upgrade?
Time
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&sub=All&id=airswish99

As you can see I have quite a few DVDs.

As of late though I have been selling my bare-bones editions of most of my DVDs and then buying the more upgraded versions... such as director's cuts, unrated versions, special editions, and collector's editions, etc.

Don't get me wrong I do not plan on doing this with every DVD, just the ones that went from nothing to something and actually matter as well as make a difference... I am looking for DVDs that have special features that have some substance and unrated versions that are worth paying the extra 3-5 bucks for.

In conclusion, I am sure you are getting the picture by now. And it would be awseome if you would look at my collection and let me know what I am missing out on.

Thanks.

Request: TMNT:2 Fan Edit
Time
Semi here!

So I was at a friend's house last night, and I noticed that they had TMNT II on VHS. Having not seen it in YEARS, I pop it in for nostalgia's sake. I'm aware that this was the movie that tried to be more kid-friendly, which means...... no angst, less serious moments, more cartoony slapstick, and no swearing Turtles!

However, I decided to watch the movie for the first time in about a decade.......

God, the movie sucks ass!

I'm aware of the fact that I ADORED this movie when I was a kid, but unfortunately, this movie did NOT age well! Even moreso, when you compare it to the greatness that was the first Ninja Turtles movie, there's just no contest! The first movie was--and still is--the shit! It was well-made, because it had elements from both the original black-and-white comics AND the animated series! Friendly enough for the youngsters AND gritty enough for the grown folks!

The Rhazar and Tokka thing could've been executed much better if the movie had the same feel as it's predecessor! Not to mention that ALL FOUR of the Turtles acted like Michaelangelo! Oh, and we can't forget about how much of a fuckin' TOOL Vanilla Ice is! Sure, the song, 'Ninja Rap' has since become a guilty pleasure for all diehard Turtles fans, but the sheer fact that they got that douchebag to be in the movie is ridiculous!

Then there's Shredder's minimal role in this movie...

You'd think he would be more interested in having a more... "hands-on" approach to getting revenge on the Turtles, but NOOOOOO! He was just as much of a whiny do-nothing as the cartoon Shredder! The way they took him out was pathetic as well! I understand Hamato Yoshi's words about how "he who lives without honor shall die without honor" (thus explaining the garbage truck scene), but come ON!!! The Turtles defeated him by blasting him out of a nightclub with SPEAKERS! They could've done SO much better than that... EVEN for a kid's movie!

Oh, wait... he's not done for yet!

Then there's Kevin Na--I mean, Dies--I mean Super Shredder! He had a nice, kickass design and all, but how in the bloody blue fuck did his armor mutate along with him?! I know, I know, it's a kid's movie! However, SOMEBODY in charge of making the movie HAD to know that this didn't make sense!

I've been meaning to vent since last night, since I saw the movie, but I decided that since I'm drunk (I'm taking extra special care not to mistype), I might as well rant about how bad this movie was! So, yeah...... TMNT II was extremely lame in retrospect!

The third movie was definitely no picnic, but I really don't care to see it again anytime soon, because I already have the same bad taste from my childhood!

The chick who played April in TMNT I was the best (RIP)!

Semi out!

A "friend" of mine posted this on another forum... I totally agree with his points and wonder if anyone would be willing to edit TMNT:2 and make it more adult... similar to the original... Just an idea.

If you need any more suggestions for ideas on what to edit... let me know. Thanks.

Help: looking for... Batman and Robin - De-Assified/Edits
Time

What you’re proposing is fine because you have official retail versions. Dealing with shipping costs and blank DVD-Rs is between you and the source of the fan edit. As long as no one involved is making any money and everyone involved owns official retail versions of the source material, it’s kosher.

I am new here, but I have done some homework.

I own pretty much every Batman DVD including Batman and Robin.

And as long as the distributer is not making profit and I’m not offering to pay, obtaining a fan edit of the Batman and Robin - De-Assified should be allowed.

I have been trying to download it from MySpleen for a good while now, but I am not making any progress as the days pass. I’m getting desperate to obtain a copy to finish my collection. Also if there are any other Batman-edits worth watching/owning I would find those necessary additions to my complete collection as well.

In conclusion, I assume what I am doing is okay… but if not I am sorry and it will not happen again. Also, if anyone is willing to help a fan, I would greatly appreciate it. Included is a picture of a couple of the DVDs that I do own. Thank you for your time.
