hi guys, just wanted to let everyone know that along with the Jedi/Feta SE set(4 disc)i will be sending the Jedi/Feta Blade Runner Criterion in both PAL and NTSC versions to our upploaders segaflip,and Metallaxis,i am also trying to get permission at myspleen so i can up some of these myself,i have already left my request over at the myspleen forums,so please go over there and reply and maybe he(Xavier) will see there is interest.
The above mentioned sets will be on there way to the uppers tomorrow(Tuesday)after work.

Well, I hope the Myspleen deal works out. I'm really looking forward to the
Blade Runner ntsc in particular, and the artwork as well.

Nope Dark Jedi captured his NTSC LD version and I re-encoded it to PAL.

boba you are fast,and citizen i would never use someone elses work and claim it as my own,that just is NOT cool in my book.

Ok, thanks for the offer. Hope it works out, love to see
what you can come up with. I'd give it a whack myself,
but my main pc is out of service at the moment. I normally
use Pagemaker for cover work, but will have to teach
myself Photoshop in the near future.

dark_jedi, ok cool, yes I did send you Edge, my VHS tape of it was a letterbox recording and it took 24 hours processing to clean it up to the state you have it now.

boba feta, sure go for it, when I did the transfer I was more concerned about having the show on DVD than having it with a cover which is why I encoded it at 9000kbps CBR.

Citizen, is it at all possible to wrangle a copy of your version of 'On The Edge' from
you? The version i have is crappy xvid, under 300meg..just not worth
converting to dvd.

Lemme know, perhaps i have something you would want in return.

i have BOTH versions of the Blade Runner dvd going to segaflip,Metallaxis and Rikter,and i emailed Rik to go ahead and post when he recieves them.
the art(case and disc) for both the ntsc and pal versions are in the dvd-rom folders.

and remeber kids if you download off of a.b.starwars it is very nice to help seed at myspleen. In turn that helps speed up how fast the release come out.

Coming to the party a bit late here I'm afraid, and of all the BR threads I wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes.

I may have access to a direct master of a Blade Runner special done on TVOntario as part of their Saturday Night At The Movies program. Basically for those unfamiliar (which would be everyone outside of Ontario I'd reckon) they show a movie and then do interviews with those involved in the production. The BR special have interviews with Emmett Walsh, Joanna Cassidy and others that slip my mind. Ford wasn't involved, that much I know.

I don't know if anyone is interested in this, so I thought I'd throw it out there and if there is enough buzz I will get the tape.

I currently have 3 different LD preservation copies of Blade Runner: The International Cut. One from Farsight, dark_jedi's new transfer and one that I got from TR47 when I acquired the Cowclops V.2 from him. Here are screen caps from each so that people may compare the relative quality of each.

Does anyone else feel this transfer looks too dark?

That was my initial reaction after I downloaded it from the newsgroups. There are some moments that seem so dark that I couldn't make out what was happening. I compared it with Farsight's transfer and the Director's Cut DVD and they don't seem to be this dark.

Anyone alse have this problem? I believe this was a direct capture of the Criterion LD, so if there's a problem, I'm guessing it's with the source. Can anyone confirm that the Criterion LD is really dark?

it is a dark movie,i checked my transfer,then played the criterion ld and they are both dark,that is just the way it is.
