I'm requesting that someone make a Dawn of The Dead Ultimate Edition Volume 2,containing the following materials That I would gladly provide as long as it is sent back to me and I get a copy of it on DVD with a Ultimate Editionish Cover saying Volume 2 or the Dawn of the Dead Ulimate Edition Companion

Dawn of the Dead Laserdisc Collector's Edition(has a excluisive Romero/Savini Commentary, but I don't have a laserdisc player,I found it at a Flea Market for 50 cents so I picked it up.)
Dawn of the Dead Airport/Mall Tour A 1 Hr or more cant remember home video made by a fan who went on the tours with selected cast members
Dawn of the Dead 22 Year Wasteland Reunion Panel(this and Airport/Mall Tour are on seperate discs, and I figure they can be put on 1,with the commentary on another)

Could someone please make this for me,as again I would gladly provide them with the with the couple conditions mentioned in the beginning of this post.

PM me or post here if interested.

I have no clue how to do such a task, but if you want some extra material for a bonus disc or something, you can always check out Youtube. I found a special on George Romero from the G4 show "G4 Icons":

Click to watch

I don't know if someone posted it already, but you could swipe it with VideoDownloader and change the format to MPEG or AVI. Just a thought.

I suppose a couple of those things off YouTube could be used like...(to put on one of the discs,or maybe there is some other extra stuff to make a 3rd Disc.

George Romero Interview(Page 1)(about Dawn)
George Romero G4 Icons(Page 1)

But this optional. I'd just like to see a Unauthorized Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition Companion Set including the materials I have. I'll give full credit to the person who does it.

EDIT:I found a hour long interview with George Romero, and while it does say he talks about Land,it says he talks about the rest of his career.

EDIT #2
I found another hour long interview with Romero at http://www.retrocrush.com/podcast.html Episode 029
I also found a "Evening with Tom Savini" Interview in the May archive at www.deadpit.com

I'll happily take on the task, working around the Alien Appendix series.

Though I don't have a Laserdisc player - so if anyone can grab the commentary and send it through I'll get onto it.

I'll also add the UK Exclusive Tom Savini commentary from the first (cut) UK release, rejig the NTSC/PAL madness (since I'll obviously use an uncut NTSC version) and insert the necessary pauses to bring it back into synch.

Zip me an email DarthCarr: meedermow@hotmail.com

I would love to see that.

Nothing about fanediting is easy.

how about reconstructing the Ultimate Cut using the AB R1 UE that featured on the Astro DVD from germany. this would be a cut that included every scene filmed!

bigrob-The Ultimate Cut would be very hard to do for anyone. That might happen some day but not in this project.

And I need someone in the USA with a laserdisc player to do this project. Meedermow is in the UK,and I can't download my discs to the computer and attach them to a email or anything.

Here is what I'd like to see.....

Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition Companion(the 1st 3 I would provide)
Disc 1-Laserdisc Commentary
Disc 2-PAL UK Exclusive Commentary converted to NTSC
Disc 3-76 Minute Airport/Mall Tour & 120 Minute Cinema Wasteland Reunion

AND OPTIONAL
Disc 4-The Interviews linked above.

PM me,post here,or email me at TNAJason @ hotmail .com

Couldn't you put the commentaries on the same disc? :S

Exactly

Have mentioned this to DarthCarr already - potentially everything could fit on the same disc with luck, depending on the source files of the docs, since the commentaries are the rarity as opposed to the film, unless we go for an extra composite cut, the commentaries could run happily over a slideshow or somesuch...

May need some cover art klokwerk, so will keep in touch !

Well, this project intrigues me. Working off some low-quality images featuring the Ultimate Edition and going on what people have suggested as content, I mocked up an early concept idea. Yes, I know it's ink-heavy, and I did try a red/white version but it just looked a little odd.

Thanks Meedermow. Granted the project hasn't been made yet, so it's just a quick job. Is there a "Dawn of the Dead" font that I could use for the spine text and the top bit of text on the back cover?

DarthCarr, feel free to give creative input as it will be for your project after all.

That artwork is HAWT. Personally, I think going with a red/white cover would be a nice contrast to the official set, but what do I know?

crazyrabbits, I'll make the red/white version available when I make this one available - but there's still a long ways to go yet. But you're right, the red/white cover would contrast the official UE and also be a great inksaver.

On the UK DVD of MARTIN, there's a German television piece on DAWN OF THE DEAD from back in the day featuring exclusive behind the scenes footage. It runs 10-15min.

Also, somebody uploaded the Romero episode of 'The Incredibly Strange Filmshow' TV series to alt.multimedia.horror back in late July. As well as being an interesting look at Romero's career up until 1988, it features one brief segment from the Monroeville Mall itself.

klokwerk,
On the cover art,I'd actually love to see the Machete in Head Zombie on it with a white background, with the red lettering the same. And of course I'm still looking around for more materials,so that would be added before the project is finished. IF meedermow wants to do the DVD-Rom materials,as he never gave me a answer.

And IF Meeder wants to do the DVD-Rom features any more help to find more materials, and I'd be most grateful.

EDIT: I found a IGN George A. Romero podcast. He talks about the MPAA,and how he would fare if Zombies walked the earth.

You know, you could do an isolated score track for that. That would be nifty.

And bigrob, yes do bring that on to meeder for a DVD-Rom feature.

EDIT:I found another material. Not exactly Dawn related. But it is Night related and would be great to have. http://www.angryalien.com/ Has a Night of the Living Dead in 30 Seconds with Bunnies.
