Yes, I do agree that it would suck. Never paid attention enough to realize that you do pay more for specialized stuff. Would've thought the numbers of lefties out there would be great enough to warrant more equality in cost. Guess not.

Well, fortunately some companies producing peripherals make joysticks and mice that are both for lefties & righties... I don't give a damn whether any of you is leftie or rightie.

As for who am I: ever seen any "L" in my nick?
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

I'm surprised there haven't been any lawsuits to this effect. I'm not saying that the U.S. needs more lawsuits. Hell, we have enough going on already as it is. However, it really surprises me that there aren't.

Yeah, my mom had already taught me how to do cursive writing properly, but my 6th grade teacher took it upon herself to "correct" me, i.e. turn my hand upside down so that it looked like I was writing right-handed and smudging my work in the process. My mom went ape (since she is also a lefty) and tore a strip off the teacher. Needless to say, that teacher never complained about my handwriting again!
Hey, guess what? I just passed NileQT for number of posts! Woo-hoo!

Yeah, the experience shook her up pretty bad. By the time my sister went through her class (she insisted in teaching all 4 of us in our respective grade 6 years), she had to retire halfway through.

It was quite subversive actually. The following parent/teacher interview round, she took her to one side and said, "Don't you DARE TRY TO RE-TEACH MY SON HOW TO WRITE! YOU'RE NOT LEFT-HANDED, SO WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE CORRECT WAY FOR A LEFT-HANDED PERSON TO WRITE? IF HE COMES HOME WITH INK SMUDGES ON THE SIDE OF HIS HAND AGAIN, I WILL BE TAKING THIS UP WITH THE PRINCIPAL." Or something to that effect.

My brother got soap all the time. Dunno the reasons why. My parents didn't punish us often. Mostly groundings. Back in the day when the video game system was hooked up to the primary TV in the house and we didn't have TVs/radios/videogames/computers in our bedrooms, so grounding really was a punishment.
