TPM (Naboo, Tatooine, Coruscant, Naboo) seems to go around in circles when it really needs to go in a straight line (for me Coruscant, Tatooine, Naboo).

I'm going to play with this idea, I just realized that since the opening will be moved to the third act:

-Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon go to the droid control ship undercover at the end and are spotted so they have to fight some droids

-They make their way down to the hangar when Darth Maul shows up

-Meanwhile, Padme and Naboo soldiers battle droids in the palace while there's a battle outside the droid control ship

-Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan battle Maul in the power generator and it ends with only Obi-Wan escaping alive

-Obi-Wan gets on that red ship (that didn't get blown up) and destroys the control ship from the inside (instead of Anakin going into a war)

I know this would take some VFX but I think it would work

So are you going to remove Anakin from the end battle? I think that you should, as bringing a kid into a war zone is just dumb, especially when Qui-Gon just tells him to stay out of trouble.

Oh, also, do you still plan on making Grievous into Maul? I noticed that you removed it from the thread.

While I like the general idea, "Slave Trade Federation" is a bit too much in my opinion. I feel it should be something like "a trade federation who (secretly) dwells in slavery" or at least something like that. They would at least try to hide their intentions by not going such a name. Otherwise it implies there is a damn slave trade federation and Jedi did nothing to stop them. (some guardians of peace they would be if that's the case.)

By the way, I strongly agree with your decision to removing Jar Jar from Tatooine and Anakin from the final battle. Anakin really should have stayed at the Jedi temple. Actually I am trying to do same for my own edit (well, you know that already) but it is not progressing as well as I would like. It is a quality vs speed thing. More time I spent on the details, more it gets difficult to accomplish.

Yeah, that's a good idea actually, with the Jedi being keepers of peace and since Padme hasn't heard of slavery in recent years should show that the federation's operations are secretive and distant.

When it comes to your edit, don't worry about it, take your time, mine will take quite a while and honestly I don't even know how long it's even going to end up being.

 Yep, his visual changes have been edited though, I'd like to make that a surprise, he's more color corrected than anything at this point but I think you guys will like it once it comes to life.

What do you plan on doing with Attack of the Clones? So far, you haven’t spoken about that at all, other than that you are combining it with Revenge of the Sith.

Attack of the Clones is going to be as short as possible, I despise that movie. Jango Fett will be removed, so will the forbidden love and so will almost the entire climax. Since the clone wars will be starting in my phantom menace edit I think I’ll be able to reduce the film down to a half-hour or less.

I can, it’s just a LOT of cutting, I want to make an edit of the prequels unlike ay other, rather than just cutting out the parts I don’t like

It’s pretty good, though I feel that it is a little rushed, particularly the start. We have, like 30 seconds between the intro of the Podrace and them starting the race. I don’t know, maybe pad out the opening, perhaps add back in Shmi. I’ve never had a problem with that scene, it makes sense that she would say good luck before he starts the race.

Yeah, I have to agree I’ll add some stuff back in.

Thanks for your input! I’m still trying to cut a better version of the scene, the musical timing is all good but you’re right, Obi-Wan needs to show some emotion.

I moved a few of the shots around, he doesn’t scream but he does react now, it’s more of a shocked expression when Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon make eye contact for the last time, I also moved the music around a little bit and added some more sound effects to make it sound more natural.

You should add in the music from when Luke attacks Vader in ROTJ when Obi-Wan attacks Maul. That scene really needs some emotion.

I’ll try it but I’m pretty happy with the track I have right now.

I’m pretty sure I’ve found the right title for my TPM edit, it’s “The Battle Begins”. This mirrors “The Empire Strikes Back” and “The Force Awakens” which both have “The <noun> <verb>”. I think this works pretty well and I don’t really care for mirroring ANH since the theatrical title was just simply “Star Wars” anyway.

As many of you know, a Darth Maul fan-film has been released recently (https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=video&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj75oHb5bnLAhUY5WMKHdcKCM8QtwIIHDAA&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DDjo_91jN3Pk&usg=AFQjCNGiT2_wxT_SUtvKnTOB3D00RpkSSw&sig2=2EGgOUV2wPq63QbsHh49wQ) I have contacted T7pro and am waiting for a response on whether or not I can use their fan film in my edit, if so I will incorporate a few scenes into my fan edit. A few special effects would have to be done in order for it to work but my goal is to show Darth Maul tracking the Jedi and discovering their location by having drones outside Tatooine.
