I still want to make a subtitle track for Artoo and Chewie for each movie.
R2 is subtitled in my edits.
He does swear but I use *@$! and I put a censor bar over his word port.

I still have yet to check your edits out for some reason. I’ll have to rectify that this weekend.
Don’t worry ‘bout this.
Not enough people read the EU.
Don’t worry ‘bout this.
But I already am.
Combine all three prequels into one movie played in reverse chronological order. Begin with Anakin becoming Vader and end with child slave Ani.
That reminds me when someone proved that there is such thing as a wrong viewing order.

I think you’re looking for the Best Edit Ideas thread.
Has anybody ever dubbed in Cosby’s original “dentist” bit that they stole for Jarjar’s “fat tongue” scene?

Add scenes from the Holiday Special and two Ewok films into the OT to add completely meaningless side plots and bloat each movie to over 3 hours long

This.
Have Obi-Wan tell Luke right away when they first meet that Vader is his father.
While what I meant was that he’d say it when they’re at his home, I realize that my suggestion could be interpreted as the reveal being literally the first thing Obi-Wan says when meeting Luke in the Jundland Wastes, which would be genuinely hilarious as opposed to just being a spoiler (although it would still be that too).
^Please put that in my ARH thread. I want to make sure you get credit for it.
JEDIT: nvm I’ll link to it.
Insert the Jabba Special Edition scene in ANH, but constantly swap between the human, CGI, and shitty 1997 CGI versions of Jabba.

I guess it would have to be that way. I envisioned it as it being Jabba every time the camera cuts back to him, but there’s one big problem with that: the whole scene is one continuous shot.
Dub Greedo in English but include subtitles for him anyway (either English or Rodian/Huttese/whatever language he speaks in the original film).
Dub Han as Indiana Jones for the entire OT, accompanied by music. And everyone refers to him as Indy.
When the diagona shows up: “snakes… why’d it have to be snakes…”
Dub Greedo in English but include subtitles for him anyway (either English or Rodian/Huttese/whatever language he speaks in the original film).
Better (worse): use the original on-set English dialogue (which is from the script before the Jabba scene was cut and the Greedo scene dialogue rewritten to convey the now-deleted exposition), but keep the theatrical subtitles.

I just imagine it being funnier that way: constantly morphing between all three, or even just the two CGI versions if the human actor is too much to align.

I like the idea of having the subtitles in the same language as the audio but saying different things. Funny enough, I’ve actually seen that happen before when watching a film in a non-native language.
I did that with Jar Jar, original audio plus my own subtitles.
