"Why DC Comics sucks"

And I thought Superman didn't favor one race or sides in a war over another?
"I don't mind if you don't like my manners. I don't like them myself. They're pretty bad. I grieve over them during the long winter evenings."

Wow. That is funny crap. *shakes head*

Some of those covers were truly disturbing. Superman says I can Slap a Jap... Awful.
But hilarious.

Classic:

In the 1950s even Superman supported beastiality:
"I don't mind if you don't like my manners. I don't like them myself. They're pretty bad. I grieve over them during the long winter evenings."

What is the point of changing your skin color?

It sure as crap didn't work for Micheal Jacskon. (The Singer, not owner of Ecoquest)
And the gorrillia is one of the aforementioned "Truly disturbing" ones.

You think they could have at least made the gorrilla anthropromorphic.

I guess you'll have to read the comic to find out

And we wonder why there were mass comic burnings by parents in the 50s.

Its one reason, besides the WWII paper shortage, Golden Age comics are so hard to come by.

Man, that was hilarious. Great start to the day. 'I must live the next 24 hours as a black woman...'

War does not make one great.

Lois Lane... made a pact with the DEVIL? What did she ask for?! And that "black Lois Lane" comics must be from the mid to late 60s. Reminds me of an early DePalma and DeNiro movie called "Hi Mom".

Comics from the 30s to the mid 60s were pretty silly indeed.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

I am so glad none of that stuff happened in the cartoon continuity.

Judging by the number of covers that deal with Lois getting married, I can only deduce one thing...

LOIS LANE IS A HO!

"You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is 'Never get involved in a land war in Asia'."

I believe they actually did tie the knot a couple of years ago.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

Really? But they must be, like, 120 years old!

I don't remember Supes tying the knot, but I do remember what a big deal it was when Spidey married MJ. I've got the rarer of the two covers on that issue.

DC Comics, and Marvel too, really ought to lay off on the restarts. How many times as a character's continuity been just completely over hauled. Like the Irradiated Spider being replaced by a Genetic Spider in the movies. And how many different' versions of Superman and Batman have there been?

*shakes head*
