You may have seen my thread in the other preservations sub-forum. It's irritating me that in order to finish my DVD cover in the most accurate way possible, I need three more fonts.
Why am I irritated? Motherfletching fonts are $20-$30 each!

We just got a bunch for cheap from scrapnfonts.com. It's the UK's #1 resource for Scraps AND Fonts.
Seriously... they are more aimed at scrapbooking... but you never know what you'll find!

I've always been able to find the fonts I need for free, not stolen or pirated, just free ones. Dunno what sites though, I just find a font I like and start searching, usually end up with one. Although, I have to admit, it's been hard sometimes having to search forever to get the right perfect one.
My DVD cover requires (!) five different fonts, two of which I found on a free site. Actually one of them wasn't quite the right font, but you have to look real close to tell the difference.
