I'm surprised Jay or someone hasn't said anything. I'd consider this a pretty fatal flaw, if he ever wanted to utilize/sell the software anywhere else.

He does :)

The simple editor is used by few people at the moment, so not exactly a priority right now. There's a good chance the advanced editor is going to be replaced by another piece of software, so investing time in fixing this issue would be a waste.

If I can find a suitable replacement, yes, something that works well in iOS devices would be good.

Hmm, why not use BB-Code for eveything? The syntax is easy and it already works with

That's the plan, actually. In the meantime, you can do images like this:

[ img = http://whatever.com/image.jpg ]

I probably won't support underlining because it's too easily confused with links. Stylistically, underlining text for emphasis should be avoided on the web.

I know the simple text editor isn't really a priority, but I far prefer it to the advanced mainly because I found that clunky and difficult to maneuver with. Any chance it could be fixed in a future revision?
