Updated post editor

 (Edited)

I updated the post editor to the latest version of TinyMCE (3.5.10) supported by our current version of jQuery (the admittedly ancient 1.3). This should resolve the formatting bugs you've been experiencing. I recommend clearing your browser cache to make sure you're running the latest version.

Please post any issues you find in the Bug Reports forum.

Thanks, Jay!  I hope I wasn't getting too pushy on that but it was really quite an annoying bug.

It's cool. I haven't been able to devote the time I'd like to the site and that's not really fair to you guys. This was a fairly simple drop-in replacement, so I just figured I'd knock it out tonight while I had time. Hopefully, it fixes things.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

I wonder if this means I can post from my workplace, where we have IE9, and only IE9...

EDIT: Yes.

I guess this means we'll see more of timdiggerm around these parts.

Excellent! :-)

I wouldn't post at your work if I were you, because you might get fired.

I wouldn't keep making new accounts here if I were you, because you were already banned twice.

That depends on whether or not he's an at-will employee, doesn't it?

It also depends on what kind of job he has. I know many security guards who wouldn't get in trouble for watching TV while on duty.

Wow, Colton is half dose of Sam.  Not quite as obnoxious, but an obvious troll who can't stay away no matter how often he is disinvited.

No no, it's a legitimate point.

  • So I can now use the advanced editor without experiencing any irritating glitches?

HUZZAH!

What glitches?

Only problem I had was that I couldn't post anything (not just edit) with IE. That's probably 70% of the reason that I've mostly been using Opera now =|

I just noticed that the new post editor initializes with a leading space, but only on some browsers. Weird. o_O
