Hi guys,
does anyone have any art at all in hi-res on this movie,I have just finished encoding the HD .ts file to DVD and need some art to make up some menu’s,and this looks just as good as The Monster Squad,it is 16:9 anamorphic widescreen,and in DD 5.1

I've also just finished a version of this but it is in PAL (16:9ana DD5.1 CCE 5 pass enc) just the menu's to do, dark_jedi hope you don't mind me doing one also. plus its a shame that theres some errors later on in the HD stream isn't it?

yes this sux,but this version is way better than anything else we have,just like The Monster Squad,since they obviously have good versions of these,I dont know why they dont just officialy release these?

yes,so is creature from the black lagoon,and revenge of the creature,so these titles wont look good on a 4:3 TV,there will be black bars all around.

So you mean that they cropped it? That's a shame but that won't put me off from seeing it in HD.

If they showed them in 1.66:1 though, it shouldn't be a huge problem. I don't know what they're in though...

Technically, the two Creature sequels were shot for 1.85:1 cropping and don't have to be 4x3 pillarboxed. Universal started filming for widescreen aspect ratios by late 1953/early 1954 and they've released a lot of them to DVD unmatted. No big deal since they look fine either way.

Just snatched this, looks and sounds absolutely stellar! Thanks, DJ!

One note that I'll make is that it's not actually presented in 1.85:1, this would be 1.77:1 or 1.78:1. Real minor nitpick. With 1.85:1, there's very minor black bars at the top and top and bottom of the image, and there aren't with 1.77:1.
