Next for me… couple of obscure Spielberg films I’ve wanted to watch for a long time.

Casino (1995)

3 hours? That will literally take me nearly two weeks to watch.

My brother just bought the five disc set of all the original Planet of the Apes films, so we’ll be watching those soon. We’ve only seen the first three before, so the last two will be a surprise, and we’ll be watching the extended versions at that.

Army of Darkness: The Medieval Deadit | The Terminator - Color Regrade | The Wrong Trousers - Audio Preservation
SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

Conquest is great, especially the extended cut (I prefer that ending to the theatrical).

Battle…not so much.

Update: fever still up, and I don’t feel like leaving bed, so I’ll just stay home and watch DS9 until I fall asleep. So… no Coco.

Not sure if this counts, but should I ever rewatch TLJ or should I wait for a fan edit?

Get well soon. That and you could always watch COCO online.

Black Panther for me also (although I’ve already seen it).

I’m hoping to go down to Chicago with my oldest brother on June 4th to catch The Shining, Barry Lyndon, and Full Metal Jacket all in a row, in 35mm. Hopefully no scheduling issues crop up. Since I’m doing my paperwork/training this Wednesday for my new job, I’ll have to ask to not start work until later in June. Crossing my fingers I won’t run into any problems.

first time i saw someone call it TLOTR instead of LOTR.

I also have a desire to rewatch LOTR. someone mentioned the ending of Fellowship yesterday, and i realize it has been a few years since i have watched these movies.

JEDIT: the extended edition of FOTR is wonderful.

Yeah, the EE of both Fellowship and Two Towers are superior. Not so for ROTK, though - I prefer the theatrical for that one for a few reasons.

Dosen’t the theatrical cut of ROTK cut out a certain major characters death?

I love the Mouth of Sauron stuff.

Who? I don’t remember the theatrical cut.

Saruman.

I didn’t say there weren’t parts of the ROTK EE I liked, but on balance it’s not as good as the theatrical.

I’m not a huge fan of the Mouth of Sauron scene myself, but it’s mostly the extra stuff with Aragorn the ghost army that make me prefer the theatrical. It’s not just that, but that’s most of it.

Oh yeah! That’s right. I totally forgot about that. I haven’t seen the theatrical cuts in probably ten years or so.

I own the extended versions on blu-ray but was tempted to get the theatricals since they’re pretty cheap usually. I’d like to revisit them.
