The Ridiculous Menace.

Favorite part is TC-14 almost speaking binary at the start of the film. I laugh every time.

It’s like it’s quite possible that Picasso would have loved to use Photoshop for some of his paintings if it was available back then, but if you take a picture from Picasso and recreate it in Photoshop, it’s not going to be the same picture and it can hardly be used to demonstrate Picasso’s brush techniques.

I have a copy, but I haven’t watched it yet. Your mentioning it just now moves it to the top of the queue, though.

BLADE RUNNER: Extended Edition. I think it’s from ADM but I burned the DVD+DL ages ago. So good.
Still been meaning to watch the various fan edits of DUNE and some others.

Why do you wear Ross’s face?

It was a test to see if anyone knew accursed farms. And i have found someone. 🙄

Austin Powers: Sanitized

…Why did I watch this? The edits were good, but the film was not. Austin Powers is just altogether extremely puerile, and I found no humor in the endless dick jokes.

😦

At least I took out the 10 minute wake-up piss! And the farting in the tub! And the 10-minute head-in-a-toilet!

Cut Austin taking the long wake-up piss
Reduced Mustafa dialogue during his death scene
Cut frozen Gary Coleman and Vanilla Ice
Shortened the Tom Arnold / Austin / Patty O’Brien scene in the bathroom
Cut Vanessa biting the sausage
Cut reference to Carrot Top movie
Cut “In Japan, men come first” joke
Cut Austin’s fart in hot tub and follow up fart jokes
Cut Austin punching Mrs. Exposition and then making ugly jokes
Cut Beavis and Butthead
Cut Austin planning to soil himself
Cut sea bass burp
Cut guard taking another peek at Austin in his Union Jack underwear
Cut Austin slamming his balls with his car’s gearshift a second time
Cut Vanessa blowing up the penis balloon
Cut Austin telling Random Task "you fight like a woman"
Extended “Female of the Species” slightly to fit extended end credits

Now I don’t even know if I’ll do the next one, since you don’t appreciate my hard work!

Incidentally, it’s been a few years now. What dick jokes did I leave in? I’m not against a dick joke as long as it’s more than just a “hey it’s a dick lol” joke.

I think my sarcasm detector is malfunctioning.

I just really hated the Austin Powers character, and no amount of editing can apparently fix that for me.

Have you not seen the original or something?

Yes. The first one was the best one, primarily because Vanessa attempted to hold him to being respectable.

What did you expect?

See above:

And I sure hope you own the original.

I would purchase the official release if I liked the edited version enough to keep the edit. I didn’t keep it. I certainly don’t like the official release enough to buy it on its own merit. Should I have rented the official release at the time that I watched the edit?

You should have bought the original. You’ve pirated a movie per the rules of both FE and this site.

As far as this community is concerned, you should own the official retail release of a fan project’s source material if it is possible to do so. Content producers deserve to be compensated, so if you don’t own the retail release (if available), you have no business possessing a fan project. This applies equally to fan edits, custom DVDs and restoration projects.

If you don’t own the source, you have no business downloading the edit. Don’t like the original enough to buy it? Don’t download the edit. That’s not an excuse.

Do everyone a favor and don’t download any more fanedits. Especially mine. Thanks.

I do not possess the edit. I examined it to determine if I wanted to possess it. If I wanted to possess it, I would follow then by obtaining the official release. But I don’t want to possess it.

And pull the stick out, please. The point is to keep the studio from losing money from people acquiring a film that they ought to have purchased but instead got for free. I do not have the film. I just watched it once to see if I wanted to have it.

I do not have or keep edits for movies I don’t own.
