What I’m about to tell you is all about “The Thief and the Cobbler”. Yes, I’ve been planning for a special edition cut known as “The Golden Edition”. For those who don’t know, The Golden Edition is a remastered, re-edited version of the original work-print. Think of it as Arabian Knight with the original scenes thrown in. Now, all we need to do is to find source material for this re-edit. Here’s how it goes:
- The whole work-print needs to have all the pencil tests re-colored, and have all the storyboards be finalized.
- The musical numbers need to be put in.
- After the ending scene, make sure you’ll put in the credits from the Recobbled Cut and Miramax versions.
I’ll make sure everybody has to do it. I need to get the project done by December 1st, 2016. During production, all of the above will be done this fall.
