I'll be capping the entire UK LiveEarth event this saturday.
I'll send any Tap footage there is.

FMT footage was posted yesterday. The floods have subsided and the posties are now back to work.

Yup. I'll be grabbing the program stream as broadcast. It's being broadcast on BBC1/2 so the bitrate should be up there.
It'll be DVD quality 704x576x25i I guess.
I just need to free around 20-30GB of disk space on my PVR first

I'll hopefully be capturing the Live Earth stuff too. I also think it's being broadcast in HD in the UK and USA. That would be a great capture.
When is the single due out?

Hi,
First let me say I'm a newbie that just discovered this forum, and as such am not really in the loop.
However I am a Spinal Tap fanatic and haven't wanted to pay over $100 for the criterion dvd just for the extras. I am very interested in the prospect of a fan community putting together these projects. So, what is the easiest way to obtain both omnibus volumes?

Coverage here was a bit of a let-down. They played Stonehenge, followed by 'Warmer than hell'. BBC1 cut away before they'd even finished the song.

Here's hoping someone has some additional footage shown as part of other event's coverage.....

I did manage to cap a 36 minute radio interview on Thursday night though - Sounds pretty good from what I heard while editing it.

The audio version, even when flac'ed is 233Mb - Too big for yousendit

I'll make it available for download later in the week, but if you want to watch/grab the WMV version of it (just the talky bits) it's at...

UPDATE

I am finally in possession of a pristine copy of Volume 2 again. (Nice for my original to develop a CRC error.) A copy has been sent out for larger distribution. I won't say where, but it will probably be up in a week or two, most likely. (It's a place where people gather in groups and share news.)

OKAY!!! Here it is, people! I'm going to the post office to mail out some discs in the next couple of minutes. If I get a pm within that time, I will send you a free set of The Spinal Tap Omnibus Volume 6! (First person to respond only.) HOWEVER(!!!) if you accept this disc you will be asked upon to get discs to people who do not have it yet.
