Thanks!
Im curious, where has this one actually been released? cant find it on myspleen
I'm really curious too! I want to watch The Wachowskis movies again but can't stand that green tint on the Matrix!
Please tell me it's going to be released soon. ^^
It's no longer there, he's going to do an improved version some time in the future.
Yeah i know, i was taking some news hehe.
Anyway i watched it with my original dvd and the upscale is not bad on my ps3. :)
A lot of time is passed since the release of this project; meanwhile, I refined the colourmatch script, found some new alternatives, and I’m quite sure that, if I will do a new version, it will have a lot less artefacts than the old one - still not sure if I can avoid them all, though, but a workaround is always possible.
Mind that it will NOT be released immediately, but, as for the moment I have it not in my todo list, I could always add it, if someone could be interested in an eventual V2.0, of course.

Latest testing gave excellent results; using BD contrast, there are no artefacts; even if colors now are a bit off in comparison to previous version, I learned that DVD was very “flat”, so now, to me, it’s better - fear not, the DVD colors are there, just faces are less green/brown/blue (following the shot tones).
I’m aware that many have chosen the HDTV open matte as the prefferred version - it is quite good indeed, still, BD has better resolution, less compression, and the OAR.
So, anyone interested?!?

Sounds good to me.

Thanks!
A friend made a note about a possible regrade using a 35mm as reference… thoughts?

Why wouldn’t that be better? Is that in the works?

He gave just an idea - you know, we were talking, and he said: “if you want theatrical accurate colors, why don’t you use a print scan instead?” - he doesn’t even know that is actually possible! 😃
Is that in the wild? Dunno, but if someone is aware of it, please drop me a PM, I would be curious to give it a try…

Oh heck yes. What you described sounds pretty much perfect.
