wmv compression issue

I've got a huffyuv avi that I capured from VHS. When I view it in Vegas Video it plays in sync fine. If I render it as a MPEG2 or MOV file it plays fine in both media player and quicktime respectively, but if I render the file as a WMV for some reason the video/audio get slightly out of sync by about half a second or so by the end.

If I load the WMV into Vegas it plays fine. If I play it in media player it's out of sync. Any ideas as what the issue may be?

I've done a lot of compression to WMV but mostly for short clips, and I haven't noticed a synch issue using Adobe Media Encoder, Digital Rapids Stream or Sorenson Squeeze. However, I've never worked with Vegas, so I don't really have any advice except that maybe you could post the problem on a Vegas forum. Just didn't want your question to sit here unanswered. Cheers!
