Have any fan edits fixed the weird dark areas around the Emperor’s eyes in ROTJ?

The so-called "Dark Side Slugs"? I know slugs and these are no slugs. They are just dark shadows on Palpys face that look unusual due to a the film transfer.

Maybe Darth Editous can tackle them.

Those are the ones - I've hated them ever since I was 6.

I had thought I'd read somewhere that maybe someone like ocpmovie fixed them, or someone else, but I couldn't track down anything when looking again.

IIRC, they are actually black mattes used to cover an unwanted reflection caused by an eyelight that was used to make Palps's yellow eyes glow.
