Yeah but you’re an emotionless computer so your opinions on the matter are suspect at best.

Well, in his defense, they are the bullet-shooting kind of walkie talkies.

If not for E.T., we wouldn’t have the heartwarming film Pod People. 😉

Where were you in '77?

Author

When was the last time you actually watched E.T., Frink?

chyron just put a big Ric pic in your sig and be done with it.

I know it was early for CGI but it’s totally not convincing.

Okay, so you’re trolling.

Also, I own that game, and I’ve beaten it (although that was way back when and I haven’t used that Atari in decades). I didn’t think it was as awful then as people apparently make it out to be.

Now who’s trolling? 😉

So I probably haven’t seen the movie since the early 90’s. Like I said, it’s fine. I just agree that it’s kinda overrated.

I appreciate E. T. for its technical achievements. Beyond that, I don’t like the film.

Yes, that’s why he’s falling into a pit.

Frink, I suppose now’s as good a time as any to say it, I want a divorce.

Geez, that’s at least three times this week.

Sounds like one for every Tuesday of the week.

They dedicated a pixel to his genitalia. That always confused me as a kid. It actually still confuses me now.

If you noticed the pixel genitalia, I have bad news for you.

Just kidding, I have no idea what it means.

ET is great. And Spielberg redeemed himself and has since buried the special edition under BD and 4k releases of the theatrical. Win-win

I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

The ET Shit Edition hasn’t been released since DVD, right?

correct. Even the initial anniversary DVD release included the restored theatrical at the demand of Spielberg. Later DVD editions were SE only, though.

That’s what I thought. I’ve never seen the SE so I don’t know what I’m missing other than the walkie-talkies and some shitty out of place CGI. I bought a cheap steelbook of the BD recently and will be including it in my Friday-Tuesday Halloween marathon as a nice break from the violent horror stuff. It’s good to know that there’s no chance I accidentally got the SE instead of the original.
