I was 13 in '99, so of course I had Terry Brooks novel (Anakin variation) and thought it was quite good.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

My mom had the novel with Darth Maul on the cover. I never read it, but she said it was a good book and she’s an avid reader but only a moderate Star Wars fan so I trust her judgement on that.
(Meaning she *likes* Star Wars but doesn’t really care about it, and probably wouldn’t enjoy the book based on its being Star Wars alone. )

My favorite part is that Amidala looks so disappointed. I think it’s even the same image that’s used on the original novelization, but the slight rotation is the difference between regal and ‘why is she judging me for my life choices?’.

Having never seen it myself, I can confidently say ET isn’t that great of a movie as everybody says it is.
Having seen it, I can confidently say yes it is.
