The Aluminum Falcon said: I think it is the most worthy follow-up to the original two that has surfaced thus far.

That's a well-phrased judgment of the film and sums up perfectly how I feel about it.  I found it entertaining enough in the theater and enjoyed it despite its (considerable) problems.

Yeah, okay, he's Aussie. Of course, that just reinforces my point. It also never would have ocurred to me that NuSC wasn't murkan if she wasn't in Game of Thrones.

I'm feeling quite tempted to go back and rewatch TGen. This time to imagine that Paramount has finally completed their time-machine and gone back to the wrap party for T1. They kidnap MB and LH and bring them to 2013.

It would be an interesting exercise for evaluating the importance of casting for greatest likeness.

All else would be equal except they probably would have to throw in the obligatory desperate love scene (even the most unsentimental guys would miss it) and they cast someone who looks like both of them for John. Same lines, same story, same direction....

How would that have effected the perception of the movie?

But then I think "Ticket prices..."

*spoilers*

did anyone else get the idea that Sarah Connor was hiding something throughout the movie?

How did she know which Kyle was the real Kyle and which was the T-1000?

When the acid hit her skin she didn't even flinch in pain.

Later in the film, they is a scene Sarah and Kyle fall(I forget what they fell from and how it happened, I'd have to see the film again),  The Arnold terminator catches Sarah in one hand and Sarah catches Kyle IN ONE HAND.  The Arnold terminator help Sarah on the ledge and Sarah WITH ONE ARM helps Kyle to the ledge.   I don't see how Sarah could possibly have the strength to do what she did in this scene.

Do you think maybe it is possible that Sarah isn't all human and that we will find this out in the next movie?

^ Those are interesting points. It could easily be attributed to filmmaker laziness, but if Sarah IS a cyborg that'd be a hilarious twist in the next movie.

Oh and not to mention that when they time travel to 2017 they get hit by a car going at least 50 MPH and it barely harms them, with Sarah taking the brunt of the impact.

I half expect the next Termy movie to reveal that every single person in the world was changed to a cyborg.

I'm still irritated that The Sarah Connor Chronicles got cancelled.  That show had a lot more going for it than any of these wretched sequels do.

Yeah, Chronicles was great. It's weird that both Cersei and Daenerys have played Sarah Connor.

Except for Skynet, which is actually the last surviving male human in a control booth, remotely attacking the replicant robotic masses in a last stand to protect his wife and child...

whoa I just blew my mind...

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!  The great Skynet has spoken!

Now I'm picturing Arnold dressed as the Lion, singing "If I were the king of the forest..."

Try as I might, I just can't imagine Ahnold singing. Talking his way through a song? Yeah, I can see that. Actual singing, though? That's just too alien a concept to visualize.

My mind -- she's been expanded!

JEDIT: My mind just saw Ahnold singing while wearing a towel. Now she's imploded.

I literally just got back from seeing this and I have to say... It was alright at the start but by the end I had lost all interest.

And I feel that the terminator franchise has been terminated.

Well, they've remastered T2 again for BD but I guess it isn't included in the Quadrilogy.

ROBERT PATRICK’S BALLS ARE COVERED

That’s the biggest offense right there. If people can handle full frontal female nudity in 90% (rough estimate) of films, surely they can handle two balls.

Why can’t they just leave films as they originally made them?

Don’t add cgi.

Don’t change lighting/color.

Don’t add new scenes.

The only thing I agree with is cleaning the image and getting rid dirt and things that weren’t originally there.

Or at least keep the original version along with the altered version.

“Part of this is that the image has been made bright to account for the substantial light-loss caused by darkened 3D glasses, and further it would always occur when you’re restoring a nearly three-decade old film” Sorry. I think so. I don’t think restoration requires the changing of light and color, unless it is to get it back to what it was when the movie was originally released. Somehow, I don’t think T2 has been around long enough for it to lose its original light and color.

In all fairness, it may be a situation of Robert Patrick never approving or wanting his private parts on screen. I think you would agree no actor or actresses private parts should be shown on screen with that actor’s/actress’ permission. If you were and a movie and your private parts were accidentally shown and you never gave your permission for them to be shown, you might want the director to go back and cover them up via cgi.
