SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE INTERNATIONAL SALKIND CUT.

This is the complete cut - Rikter tried to fix it and couldn’t, it had something to do with being a old recording AND JUMPED EVERYWHERE AND WE COULDN’T STABALIZE IT, couldn’t play on the newer VCR’s - I tried everything and then I went to the GoodWill and walla I found and old RCA 6 that plays it.

It is virtually the same cut as RIKTERS Australian Version. ( which btw!! he did an awesome job on)

Colors are much better and no lines and rough looking tape in areas and best of all has the Reeve smile at the end and the complete end credits…

Quick judge - Tape looks sharp, uninterupted.

Looks fantastic

See, thats all it takes. If everyone who looked at a thread actually left a comment or two then no-one would feel disgruntled or ignored.

Hope it works out for ya Mitch. It's not for me (I've got one extened Supes already, that'll do me), but I'm sure there's plenty of folk who do want what you've found

Hehe, of course I've just been spending the last couple of weeks downloading the existing torrent! Oh well, at least this version will have some seeders for me when it gets up!

Really looking forward to your version Mitch. If Rikter can't post it for a while I'd be happy to give it a shot (just PM me with an email address).

Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.
Everything is better on a laserdisc. Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc!

I've decided to continue downloading the old version it the meantime since it is PAL and I might be able to use both copies to cut a third variant. So, if anyone has this I'd love some seeders for Disc 1, would be greatly appreciated.

Interested--Mitch, ya just gotta give people time. Things like this will give you a good reputation, and people will start paying a lot more attention to you. Looking forward to this.

Nice. So does this mean it'll be a NTSC release and not a PAL release? Rik, is the PAL release from Australia time-compressed? And if so, does the KCOP have the correct running time?

Not sure what the run time would be - it has commercials - Rikter had the copies for awhile..

Well Mitch, it looks like you've got at least a dozen people interested and if/when it gets torrented you'll surely find many more downloading it.

Actually, it's 14.

If reports on the contents of this box set are correct, I would only be interested in the first 6 DVD's. Well 5 of the first 6 anyway, as I have the 2001 director's cut (Commentary track by Richard Donner and Tom Mankiewicz) in Dolby Digital 5.1!

From the looks of it, the "INTERNATIONAL SALKIND VERSION" is not included in this 14 DVD set in a "play-out" version.
(all the extra footage may be in the set's bonus sections)

With that version not included Mitch, your preservation of the full un-cut broadcast version in a good quality is a must!

The info below is from Superman Cinema
